9.36am In other Wigan news, Neil Ashton writes: 'Roberto Martinez's hopes of landing Aidan McGeady have been dealt a crushing blow.
Wigan were convinced the Spartak Moscow winger was on his way to the DW Stadium this morning.
Instead the former Celtic man has had a last minute change of heart and has opted to remain in Russia.
McGeady, 26, had indicated he was ready to return to Britain after nearly three years in Moscow.
The decision leaves Martinez desperately short of options as he looks for an alternative to help save Wigan from the drop.'

I'll just pay our James to do it. With his Championship salary, he'll need all the cash he can get to pay for all the poppies at his wedding

Anzhi made a bid for him in December, can't remember the amount, though it was derisory and also a slap at Spartak.

Reports from Spartak HQ are that the club won't pony up a decent % for wages as he didn't want to take such a massive drop to go to England. Club are still confident that it'll go through, though from this morning they're a little less plucky.

Deal off off, for 10k a week. Spartak were putting in 1/3 of his salary, Wigan wouldn't break the bank. So the player made the decision to stay - plus he's only paying 13% tax here.

Just an after thought, but if (1-100 chance) James does end up in the Championship with Sunderland, why would you need to delete all those Sunderland RIP posts of yours?

I assume it wasn't an error in pronunciation. There's pun potential there certainly, but that strikes me as rather unprofessional for a "news" presenter.
