    Time for a change?

Pat Devlin has been manager since Bray joined the League in '85. Indeed he managed them previously in the Leinster Senior League. Apart from a brief spell under John Holmes a long time ago, he has been the only manager. He has achieved great things with often limited resources. Two FAI cups, First Division Shield, 4th place in the Premier Division. Can he go even further? It's difficult to say. Should the board show their appreciation for what he has achieved and let him continue indefinitely, regardless of whether he brings more silverware to the club? Or should they take a gamble and bring in someone new for next season, who could bring a new approach and fresh ideas, and even more ambition?

Pat is an enormously experienced manager. He is sure to keep certain high standards in coaching the team. He is someone whou can be relied on when times are hard. Bringing in a newcomer would be an enormous risk, yet it might be wise to start grooming a sucessor, say as an assistant to Pat to start off with? This is a contentious issue. Let's hear some opinions.

pat has done a magnificent job at bray tuming them into one of the most respected teams in the country and shudnt be gotten rid of for the forseeable future. however i wud be worried as a bray fan if the style of football which ye played in the showgrounds is rperesentative of the way ye play normally. very negative long ball stuff. however great away support ye had on saturday, small but very vocal and put the home crowd to shame .

Sure doesn't he spend most of his time scouting for Blackburn or Newcastle or someone? Probably only using the Bray job as a cover anyways.
