    Travel to Longford

just to let ye know there will be no bus to longford[unless i get a few calls during the week with people demanding it! ] cos we can go on the train

kick off is apparently sunday 3rd september at 5.30 so the 14.50 train to longford will get us there on time....and the one coming back is sometime after 8.15pm so plenty of time to get back for it too

would be great if there was a good crowd of us on it and get a bit of an atmosphere going...

the ground is a good bit away from the station in longford so it will be a taxi job according to the longford fans

    thanking you...

Well it's 14euro(single, not return) to Carrick so guessing about 20euro or so.

    i like your thinking

going to away games costs at least 40euro anyway..if it was the bus it would be 20 for bus,10 into game and 10 for programme and other crap.......

its 18 from ballymote i think so about 24 i suppose

bus would probably work out cheaper but this is easier...2 or 3 people were asking me about it yesterday and i said we're going on the train and said we should all meet up on it..they were happy with that and im sure others will be too

Lads there is another option go on a Bus Eireann. I say it works out at 15euro return, make sure to get one of the expresses up, yeah will be there in just over an hour. The last bus leaves Longford before ten on a Sunday night.

The Pub we were in the last day was The Stillery, Turn round the corner out of the town on the Strokestown road and its on your RHS, Beside Brooks Hanleys (or it it buckleys), it’s the last pub before the ground. The Night of the PP game we went there as well & the owner bought us a drink, he’s Zac Hackett a former Longford Player/manager afaik. If people met there they could scab a lift out to the ground?

id say people getting the train will get a taxi straight to the Ground.
But id say even some Longford fans would give people a lift out from town.
