Updated banner loaded into rotation. I'll post an announcement too.
BTW, to the person that pledged a multiple pledge of €140 and anyone that said they posted a cheque, I didn't receive any. I've only received one cheque, and that's accounted for.

I've asked on a Celtic forum and for £570 (€840) you should be getting:
I'd say we have enough to get a decent flag anyway. At least 50' x 20', or in modern speak, 15m x 5m......depends on the material & how ornate the logo is though?!
I've only just discovered this thread (that'll teach me never to notice Stickies...!).
Any design for the banner yet ? I can't face trawling through 11 pages I'm afraid - I did the first 2 and my head's already fried.....
Umm, first post Steve?
Are we going to see a list of all those who have paid?
I don't think so. I'm not a big fan of name-and-shame. If people don't want to donate, even after pledging, that's their lookout.

was thinking of ensuring that everyone who contributed was on the flag, basically a check list.
I've been keeping track of it in Google Spreadsheets; that's how the running total is being generated.
Can someone post the payment details, or tell me what page its on or soemthing?
The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.
Ah come on face, it's in the first bloody post man!
Well, we broke €900 anyway. Strictly speaking it should be €800, as my transaction donation's supposed to be taken out of that, but I'll make up the difference.
I still haven't received any of those cheques that were promised. I hope they weren't lost in the post or eaten by the dog.

Right, the final total of donations for the banner was €830, plus the €100 I pledged to pay for transaction costs. casso36, can you talk to that crowd to see what can be done for that price. As I said the other day, if a few quid extra will take us up a notch, I'll make up the difference, but do me a favour and ask for prices before you tell them our budget. I have a list of names for the banner here, and I'll pay them directly when I get an invoice, electronically or by cheque, whichever they'd prefer.
Thanks to everyone that donated, it's still a huge amount all things considered.
Thanks,
adam
Right all,
Flag may not be ready for Ireland - San Marino Game. But is in the process of being designed by maker.
Please note that size of flag has been reduced to 20' x 6' at a cost of €570.00 + Vat@21%. = €689.70. The total required for bigger flag was not met! so this was the next best thing. I would like to suggest to send remainder of balance to Charity if thats ok? with everyone else.
I'd like to thank all who donated, didn't really think it would happen, but hey! well done all.
Names will be printed on rear of flag around edges, i think there was 29 in total.
That's a very expensive flag casso. Is the material extra special or just a case of rip off Ireland?

If if was up to me I'd get one of our UK based members to have a flag delivered to his house and bring it over for the next home game if possible.
Probably rip off Ireland!!
But hey they have to put the Logo and Names on it also!!![]()
I'm sure it will be the real mccoy!! and not some ****ty material
Anyway i tried me best!!!![]()
![]()
a 20' x 6' flag for €690!!!!![]()
that sounds ridiculusly expensive
in euro2 shop you can buy a 5' x 3' tricolour for a bargain €2
with a score, a few of them with a bit of sellotape ..........![]()

20' x 6' is very long and narrow.
Do you intend to hang it up somewhere?
