    Travelling around Stuttgart

This might have been already mentioned before but :

I was speaking with the german tourist board in Frankfurt and they told me that all the tickets for the game should have a 'VVS' insignia on them.

If you have that VVS insignia then you should be entitled to free transport round stuttgart as part of the purchase price of the ticket.

It may be worth someone double-checking this who is already in Stuttgart but the VVS should help all the travelling fans get around the city for free. They could not tell me how far this extended to (either the distance round the city , or whether it was buses, trains etc). Worth asking around when you get there.

Ok , I have spoken to Stuttgart tourist office.

The ticket covers all public transport (train and bus) from 6pm onwards on Saturday only. You can only use this ticket for 3 hours before the game starts and until midnight after the game ends. It is valid for the whole city.

Yep , its the same rules apart from this 'only starting 3 hours before the game' although I dont know if train/bus conductors are going to be that bothered when a few hundred are piling on there in the afternoon.
