FAI Junior Cup Final;
Killester United v St. John Bosco
Killester United 1:0 Salthill Devon, Killester worthy winners, Salthill didnt offer much in a scrapy game, brought Killester down to their style of play, David Lacey got the winner. Salthill had their keeper sent for off for handling the ball outside the box, to be fair to him he had no choice as Lacey would have scored from his chip shot, Then Salthill had one of their midfielders sent off with about tem minutes to go. A nervy end to the game but Killester United had enough to holdout for the win.

Who Cares?!
who won?what was the score?
Killester won 3 0. David Lacy scored 2, Ian Graham scored 1. Lacy got man of the match. Keeper for bosco made a howler for Ian's goal. Killester dominated for the entire game.
Hard luck to St. John Bosco. They had terrific support but unfortunately they barely got a kick of the ball.
Well done Killester!
Just had a fiver on it @ 9/1 thought it was gone after 25 minutes though. Couldn't believe that Killester didn't score again. It was clear from the start that Boscos were there just to keep the score down. They had ten men behind the ball from kick off. That let Killester easily play with a 3-5-2 formation for the whole game. However, fair play to Boscos in the second half for making a better account for themselves. They played better as a unit in the second half! Overall, it was a poor game as there was only one team in it from the start and after 25 minutes the game was over. Even with 15 minutes left the officials had the Killester ribbons on the cup!
Who Cares?!
Congratulations to Killester United from your fellow red and black comrades of Westport United. We share in your unbrindled joy!!
