Trouble at o2 park on sunday

ad i had nothing to o with it

    thread from jw's site

A Drogs player was down injured but drogheda played on and had a good chance of scoring. Unfortunately the ref blew the whistle and stopped the match. Cork showed a total lack of sportsmanship and didnt give the ball back. A young lad from the stand shouted out 'cheats'. Then a cork fan (in the presence of his wife and children i may add) verbally threatened the young lad and told him to take it back. I swear to god i thought he was going to hit the chap.

i was over on the other side and didnt see or hear of this until now, anyone shed any light on this ?

Looks like a load of crap. The number of games I've been to in D*blin or it's wannabe suburbs where you get those annoying little toerags are numerous to say the least.

Did anyone see the article in the Sunday Times a few days ago? Apparently there were 3 arrests at the Bohs Rovers match. I was at the cup semifinal between those 2 last year and there was alot of tension between the 2 groups of "supporters". Its a shame that the only time the ST has actually acknolaged the eL (besides an article about Colin Healy around 2 weeks ago) has to do with the negative side of things. I get the feeling that the SRFC-Ultra's mightnt exactly be the nicest of people, judging from other Ultra's(although top marks for them for having a good site with loads of photos).

One of the SRFC-Ultra's is a friend of mine & i work with him & if you look at their site i think they mention they completely against racism or holliganism. The Examiner i think rang a completely crap story (didn't see myself) a few months back trying to link them to other ultra hooligan groups dispite seeing what their site says & what the srfc ultras said themselves. The SRFC-Ultra's are no more hooligans than the 451 lads

2 people arrested after a big game is nothing. I weonder how many people arrested for distrubing the peace in Cork or Dublin city centre every weekend?

Bohemians installed a close circuit tv system last week and this was the first time it was used. You could of been arrested for dropping an empty tayto bag on the ground such was their enthuasiasm to use it.I know this as my friend who is a boez fan supplied the system.I was at the match and there was no trouble.

Well lock them up so if they are as bad as 451!
I know that their site says that they are against racisim etc & obviously not all of them are dodgy, but I dont believe that all of them are totally nice chaps either. RE Their site, well they are hardly going to put '' We encourage violence'' scroling accross their screen now are they? Just coz their site says something, it doesent meen its true. How can you say that 2 (3 really) people arrested after a big game is nothing? We are always harping on here about what clubs and the league in general needs to do to get a good image accross to the general public. Having fights, riot police & horse mounted police & articles about them in one of the biggest news papers is not the right way to go. Football hooliganism here should be stamped out before it even starts.
As I say, we're just young & a bit nieve.
