The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.
Giving away 3 peno's in 2 league games is a bit shocking isnt it? Did they look like scoring from open play? Was there anything Hoggie could have done to avoid the peno?

they had a half chance or 2 from knock downs from hoofs but that about it
the peno shouldnt have been given.. as far as i could see..
Drogs had one chance in the game when George was messing in the other half & lost the ball......they broke down the right & crossed for Myler who with only Devine to beat & no defender near him drove the ball at Devine from about 8 yards. Was far away from city goal but from what i saw Hoggie couldn't have done anything to stop Drogs players throw himself at the ground.
The state of refereering in this league is the shocking thing here Troy. The second penalty against UCD was a disgrace, and it is impossible to see any justification for it.
