I fancy Coonagh to beat Balla tomorrow night. Coonagh were missing a couple of starters the other night that will make a difference. Have seen Balla three times recently also and think Coonagh have more than them. No doubt it will be a tight tense affair.
    18 times, and that's a fact.

You think coonagh might play some of their B players?

There are a few B players that would easily walk on the A team and they would make them stronger for the match tomorow night.

One or two will probably start with another 2 or 3 on the bench. A couple did start on saturday night but not the usual ones. The As were short in a couple of positions they are usually ok with and the B players also had their own cup final (and night out) on friday night so a few didnt go down. There should be a full bench tomorrow night.

in fairness we haven't had a full team in a few games due to players working evening shifts and some not getting off work early enough for away games, we were missing starting center half center midfielder and center forward against mungret and managed to come away with a point, unlucky not to win really, had a few chances towards the end...if coonagh put out the team they had the first time we played them we'll beat em i'd say, could be a different story if they bring up b players. should be a good game anyway....

Well i was correct in saying that Balla would get something with Mungret and Coonagh would get nothing from their game, now it can't not go to a play off ! I still fancy Balla to come away with a win and stay up. Either way best of lucks lads and well done to both Wembley and Summerville. I thought of all the teams we played this year, both of these 2 teams deserved to go up

Why are these players only playing with the A team now and not the whole season?

That is strange alright. The coonagh camp will know more than myself but i have heard that there are many players that are not playing with the A team that should be (this is only the usual pub talk which is crap so im not sure how true it is.)

i think it was said before on this forum that these players dont play with the "A" team because they dont get on with the manager, and also some cant/wont train twice a week.

    larrywhite can clarify im sure......

    prediction:

    Coonagh 2 - 2 Balla

Thats basically it. Some just want a game of football and a bit of craic. They dont want to take it too serious and are happy with training once a week. Others cant train twice a week and give the required commitment to the A team because of other responsibilities like work or home.

It also doesnt help when the manager hasnt seen the B team play once this season or last. He goes on the recommendations that I and another person give him for players to bring up.

There are a few who would be interested in moving up and would give the commitment but they decided at the start of the season to commit to the Bs for another season and see how things pan out this summer.

Is the coonagh v balla game on in coonaghs pitch?? What time is ko..I fancy balla to in by the odd goal in 5....3-2.....
On another note i would like to congratulate wembly on there promotion!! Lookin forward to battling with them again next year!!!
If we win thursday night we will win the league and not have to play wembley to decide it....If we don't beat geraldines i still fancy us to beat wembley for the league!!! We will see how it goes!! We never get a handy game off geraldines so it won't be easy!!

all is not lost for the loser of tonights relegation battle.a club who played in 1A recently held there AGM and a notion was put forward to scrap the junior teams and concentrate on the schoolboys for 3 or 4 seasons to try get the club going in the right direction.the club in question are seriously thinking about this,it could mean only park would be relegated

If a club in 1A does pull out during the close season it will still mean the bottom 2 are relegated. The extra place will be taken by the third placed team in 1B. This is how it has always worked. If you are relegated, there is no reprieve. Look at Herbertstown and Hill Celtic and the start of this season after Park dropped down.

If the club in question pulled out before the end of the season then thats a different matter. They would automatically come last and be relegated along with Park. Only 2 would then come up from 1B. If they then did not enter 1B next season it would mean 3 teams coming up from 2A.
