Poaching players or players wanting to sign for "bigger clubs" is a regular occurance in all levels of footy.

The Dines, Pike, View and a few others done it at schoolboy level approximately 10years or so ago and then other Junior clubs poached those same players,, and now its Wembley signing players from other clubs.

It has its pro's and cons.
The pro's being Wembley become stronger and therefore Limerick has a great chance of a successful youth/u17 team in the later stages of both national and provincial comps,

The cons being that the rest of the Limerick clubs gets that bit weaker due to the fact that some of them lose probably their better players.

look have you ever played successfully under age. i have ive captained clare. played oscar trainer youths when i was 15 had ireland trials. had to go to a bigger level fairview enquired and in all fairness any amateur player who turns them done either has a lack of ambition or a doesnt believe in themselves. as a player you want to play the big matches thats what its all about not beatin rag arse rovers like us 7-0 what do young lads learn from that

parkfan, work with a lad involved with ye and he reckons ye really need a decent keeper and ye will be o.k, heard ye signed brendy omara, how did he play sunday

brendy done ok he is an addition no doubt about that, he needs to work at his fitness, if we can get him fit he will score goals as you no. if we had a keeper we may be ok another problem is weve got 10 players excluding (the goal keeper) that we need to play every week if we are missing one we cant compete.

we have nothing to lose we are not expected to win, if we go out there with our normal 8-1-1 formation we should hold them off for a while

wembley rover your dead right. ye are a fantastic club in my opinion and a good role model for any other club to aspire too. from what i hear the players get treated very well and its always great to see that know a couple of lads who played with ye and won an fai had nothin but good words to say

happened about 15 years ago and no one involved with the club then is now.... and it was an playing an average player....... the lies u tell see's it.... u still haven answerd my question did i make any good points above or are u just gonna ignore it and focus on the negative as u love to do....

well said parkfan... unfortunately see's it hasn played so he just doesn understand.....fair enough they re are negatives to this which have all been mentioned above but think positives certainly outgrow the negatives....
