what is caherdavins team these days that makes them one of the best teams in 1a, did they get a lot of players in or is the standard gone down, cos they have been a mid table team 4 7 or 8 years now
I would disagree with alot people see's it. Caherdavin should beat gerldines handy enough. We beat them 5-0, as you should know, and they looked fairly weak. Caherdavin are one of the strongest, if not thee strongest team in the league this season, as much as i hate to admit that. Would be surprised if they lost or drew.

the standard is defo dropping caherdavin have the same team for the last few years
sorry could i get directions to hogan park in limerick coming from galway side thanks
Caherdavin have had some very good teams over the last number of years but have always had the same old problem(commitment).never turning up to training but still getting a game on the sunday (when they arrived that is).Teams that included top players like pat hall, pat sheenan, and morgan lewis just a few former Caherdavin players who gave their all for the club but had to go elsewhere due to lack of commitment.Things have changed out ther now this year(about time)but the only problem they have now is not having their own playing pitch and having no facilities for their players(not including the eyesore in the greenhills). They may get promoted this season so next year Fairview for the GREENHILLS.
pat hall quality? no way the likes of him are the reason why caherdavin are where they are the likes of him and wobbler, andrew ryan, stephen collins and many more, no quality whatsoever plenty of heart in fairness. if caherdavin go premier you could see them being very strong with a lot of players going out there, e.g the aforementioned pat sheehan, add in the likes of barry dillon and dave quinn and a few other ex players dotted around the city
andrew ryan was a great player abit mad but very good.....
Caherdavin would have a strong team if they went up. But Pa Sheehan, Dave quinn and Barry Dillon would never go back to them. As for wobbler, the man has scored 8-10 goals already this season for wembley, so i wouldnt go knockin his ability just yet. It was definately commitment that screwed caherdavin over the past years.
well unless wobbler has improved dramatically over the years as far as im concerned he is a very poor player, as for scoring 8-10 in 1a already that doesn't make him any good and also for the height of him he should be doin that anyway.
dines 2-4 caherdavin
balla b 0-2 bruff
park 1-1 cappamore
summerville 3-2 hill celtic
mungret 2-1 coonagh
wembley will be glad of the weekend off to work on the keeping mistakes from last week.![]()
how do div 1 rate the following...
jimmy regan - dines
nigel mcelligott - coonagh
keith doran - coonagh
shane and stewart fitzgerald - summerville
david mc - balla
you gowl!
Keith Doran is a very skilfull player who could have gone to any priemer club a few years ago but has left it too late. two other players were shane ryan and david rael.On pat hall....not many players would give you the commitment this guy would, not the most skilful but always gave everything
ya you heard correctly,
you also might have heard that we missed a peno and hit the bar to make it 4 2,having said that the davin dominated the last 15 so prob deserved to score and earn the draw,
definitley points dropped from the dines point of view though
ya ye did beat us handy that day but to be honest if you are a true wembly man you will know that ye caught us on a very bad day,
no matter how bad the dines fair in the league our games are always close and I suppose on the day we just werent at the races an ye could have won by more had the finishing being better
ya ref played 8mins injury time but this was due to the caherdavin keeper getting injured.good game, draw probably fair result in the end,but we'll feel a bit hard done by with missing the peno and missing two great chances
martin wallace missed the peno hit the post
Any results from the weekend
