Sounds to me like everyone here knocking Wembley is a bit jealous of our success in schoolboy!! If ye worrried half as much about ye're own teams and not about ours maybe ye might win something rather than gettin trashed week in week out

Back to 1A football then. Who do you think are the teams for promotion this year?????? Looks like all teams can drop points to any opposition at this stage!

caherdavin have to be strong strong favourites for the league they have played all away matches so far in the league and have 13 out of a possible 15..... and will have a lot of home matches towards end of the season..... having played them last sunday would have to say best caherdavin side since i started junior....... wembley, dines, summerville up there and probably and outside bet would be bruff......cant see anyone else challenging for promotion.......

    Wink

How did Shane Fahy play against his old team wembly on sunday?? I heard there was a few tasty challenges during the game.
    Why didn't Glen Woodland play??
Wembly must be disappointed with the result given that they have lost twice already this season and caherdavin are unbeaten?

He got a run cause woodland was away on a stag, didnt do much, complained alot about challenges against him. Bad result for us all rite, worst defending on a line i have ever seen. Caherdavin were good alrite, a draw seemed the fairest result. Part from that it was a fair enough game wasnt many bad tackles, fair tackles allrite

We were dissapointed alright coz we had chances to win and gave away sloppy goals but i think a draw was a fair result. Fahy got a bit of a kickin aright as you'd expect. He was quite though in Pa Sheehans pocket all day

    A bit of Realisim

    Hi Lads,
There are a number of facts in the threads but there are a number of myths too.

    This is not Wemleys problem.

Wembley do not have a determined catchment area and as a result need to attract players to field a team. The accusastions of poaching can only be levelled once the season has started.

Youth teams have been a problem for a number of years in Limerick and there is a huge gulf between the top and bottom teams.

The league was split into 3 divisions this season so the main problem is in Division 1.

In days gone by teams who were well above their opponents in levels of skill and experiance would have a degree of respect and hold scorelines to a respectable level this was a good practice and allowed players to leave with a shred of dignity. my apprecation and admiration is with the team who in the face of overwhelming opposition Still field knowing that their opponents will probably win and will probably try to grind them into the ground.

Posts like that are only going to fuel the fire again, if u had read my post to old keeper i ask for all this stuff to stop and concentrate on our own league, but its hardly going to stop when u start telling us to shut up, at least we have something to talk about, granted it mite not be interesting all the time but that is what foot .ie is all about, talking about issues in the game.
