Beat Sligo Leitrim last evening 1-0 so go into second level tournament called The Bowl for positions 9-16,the first 8 being created by the winners of the groups.Play Limerick District League (City)today at 1 o clock in that.

"You'll not see nothing like the Shelbourne team"
Haven't heard this but wouldn't be surprized, I'd say it depends on who is Manager/Selectorat The Bridge for the coming season.Greg Joined Newtown cos he couldn't commit to training with The Bridge as he was in Dublin during the week,Think he was told, no training no game.Prem Rep has spoken before about Anto being the type player to travel from Club to Club.
Then again wouldn't be surprized if they stayed with Newtown either.
If you're in the penalty area and don't know what to do with the ball, put it in the net and we'll discuss the options later

Am i right in saying that there are 4 or 5 trophies to be won in this Competition, just that when i played in it there was just the Kennedy Cup and the Bowl. The first 2 teams from each group went into the knock out stage in the Cup and rest entered the Bowl.We came second in the group to DDSL and finish 7th over all, think this was the best finish Clare ever had or has it been beaten since 1993.

Not really a loss , I think they play better with out him !!!! and anyway having Davy Wall as a direct replacement in midfield shouldn't cause too much problems. Then with Jimmy Rocks at the helm it will just be a matter of changing the club colours.
Its now officially silly season.![]()
I would expect Greg and Maxi to return. They left because he fell out with management not because of training. He has been in Dublin for a few years and always did his own bit. Don't know about Anthony, depends who is manager I guess, probably would be another short stay anyway!
I'm a bit surprised to hear about Mallo and Davy as they had already given a commitment to join the Bridge next year.

Dean Richter,Davy Hogan,Denver Kerins,Colm Mullin,Mark Dunphy i think played in goal,I'd have to look at photo i have somewhere at home to get other Names.Deano scored against DDSL in our opening game.We went 1 nil up against them, there was a couple of people watching the game at the start but once we scored the word went round that Clare were beating DDSL and within a few minuite the sidelines filled up,it was the worst thing that could have happened,we got hammered 7-1.Damien Duff and Alan Maybury were playing for DDSL.It was a lessen in how to play football to us Clare boyo's but one that will always be remembered![]()

Good old Denver... there's a man from the past if ever.
It was '93 alright as Waterford won it that year.
Just looking on the CSSL site they give it super coverage...as do www.soccerscene.ie.
Keep us updated on games tomorrow anyway Shels...
Mark Dunphy (with Kilmaley now) was right back, a lad called John Quinn from Moneypoint was between the sticks. Micky O'Sullivan was involved as well(played with Lifford last year I think) and maybe Pa Wilson as well but not sure. Barry Malone was sweeper, don't think he plays much now. Jesus, that was a long time ago!!...and then there was Denver with his whites boots, long hair and tan!! Some player though!!
