any report on yesterdays match with newmarket[/QUOTE]

I felt we had the better of the first half however only created 1 or 2 half chances. Newmarket had the better of it in the second half particularly the last half an hour where they had a few descent chances. They scored with a penalty in the last 5 mins as a result of a handball. There was little between the teams but Newmarket probably did deserve to shade it.

tough way to go out penalty in last few mins.. not a lot of time left to make a recovery... still you have had a marvelous run in cup untill now... good luck in the league now

It was a tough way to go out but these things happen. We exceeded all expectations in the cup over the last 2 years. Now we have to concentrate on making the break-through to the premier.

Corofin did not take advantage of the hill in the first half and were limited to half chances but in fairness to them they would definitly not look out of place in the premier. They are a good tough team and from what i saw yesterday they will keep improving if the keep the attitude the showed before, during and after the game. As for Newmarket, they showed plenty of determination and had a solid team out with their 1st choice keeper for the first time this season.I think they will be looking at this result now to boost the rest of their season.. anyone for a Newmarket and Rineanna final to be played on the ennis rd????

The draw wasn't made.. I guess the Clare league didn't think it was important enough to organise it properly.

Draw will be held next monday night by all accounts, unsure as to why it wasn't made last monday! some good games in store, very strong teams left. will be very interesting draw with home advantage the most important factor as most teams are capable of winning it!

Newtown must travel to Moher...Newtown won 1-0 in Ballycasey
If you're in the penalty area and don't know what to do with the ball, put it in the net and we'll discuss the options later

well newtown played moher in ballycasey already,so they must still have to play them out in mohers place..it could be a league decider if it goes all the way,the way newtown are playing at the moment if they keep there shape and confidence for the rest of the season, cant see them being stopped

They'll have to keep free of injuries aswell. This is the time of year when injuries play a big part. There will be games coming quick and fast and alot of knocks get picked up.

never mind the injuries.. would be more worried about midweek games
and players trying to get out of work in time ..to make matches

This could be the thing that could hit Newtown hard. Moher have played 2 games more and might not have to play that many midweek games while Newtown on the other hand are playing catch up.

Saying that, IF Moher do have to play mid week games then i could see them struggle as well to make games as they are Miles away from most places

Also we must not forget, Bridge Celtic are still in second place and are a tough team to beat so its anyones league at this stage.

Avenue are still there aswell don't forget.....It will probably go down to the wire
