Still plenty of green shirts in Heatons in the Square yesterday. As you go in the main door turn immediately right and they are over on the wall facing you. They also have the away shirt. €24 each. Note this is the last shirt and not the new one but still a good deal.

There were a few of us on here who attempted it. On the way up to the ground we handed out loads of balloons to every ireland fan we met. Most people never bother releasing them . Tried the same in the Faroe islands, and that never really worked either.good luck if you do try it.

But what happens if the German fans do what Mayo did too the Dub's on sunday, and get in their early on the night before we get in there and they all wear their green German away tops, lads it could be crazy and cause mass problems if that happens, you could end up jumping around after Darren St Ledgers goals hugging the wrong fans, thats why I think we should do what most of the people at LR do on big nights and turn up and wear suits.

I am off too Dunnes stores in Maynooth to get my outfit for saturday.

I think its a look that may catch on amongst my fellow suits. I may pop into my local golf club and ask if they have any spare ties.

munster rugby fans make sure they are there for the warm up and is very impressive for the lads to come out to a huge roar 30 mins before the game
great idea. with late start there should be no need to tear the arse out of it and stay in pub till kick off (btw is there beer on sale in ground or that poxy non-alco stuff?)

was in japan and nearly every1 went in early for cameroon game. we actually amazed ourselves by size of crowd as papers were sayin in the lead up that only bout 3000 were going so we all decided to go in early. in many interviews about the game the players always say how much of an impact it had on them and (we all dream of a team...) gary breen commented on it in huddle before game.

in fairness we're fairly up against it on saturday so why not try and do our bit by welcoming the lads early and not strolloing in just before anthems.. which brings me to another point....... LEARN THE THING!

This was my first away trip. I was amazed by the amount of Irish people who didn't wear green, and particularly the amount of people wearing the white away jersey. If you could be arsed to buy the away jersey, surely you own the home one? A lot of GAA jerseys going about too. Ok, at least Mayo are mainly green but there was Cork, Clare, Dublin and all sorts of random colours. There was a lot of green, but there could have been a lot more.

I took 1,000 green balloons to Paris and I kid you not, I got abuse from Irish lads who claimed that I was being paid to do it.

Asked myself why I bothered to go to the effort and seriously thought about throwing the rest of them in the bin.

Had another 1,000 for the Faroe Islands trip but never left Dublin airport so they ended up being used at Cork City away to Galway Utd. in the Cup last year.
    Have Boot Disk, will travel
