But he went before those rules came in. Either way, are those rules even enforced? Wouldnt that mean that West Ham are now rolling in cash after Rio's move?
As I say, we're just young & a bit nieve.

exactly. divide dublin among the 8 teams that are there, or even among the teams in the premier, and our only "comptetition" is ramblers, we should have the best crowds by a mile!
As for people getting carried away, i'd say that we're just FINALLY realising what we are entitled to

Not only that but Dublin full of cluchie like meself who don't & won't support local clubs. Dublin does have advantages with media coverage 'n stuff but its cheaper for players to live outside the pale & as Longford showed much much cheaper to get land for a pitch & build a stadium around it.

As someone living near the 'big dub' clubs for a few years IMO Cork City may not have the tradition but theres no doubt has the potential to be as big as any other club in the country.

Red face No 'big' dublin clubs

Bohs could barely manage a truelly woeful 3000 home supporters (i'm including neutrals amoung them) at their 'big' dublin derby on friday night!

I know they got a good core support but thats really only since their league winning season so that would likely drop if dropped to midtable too.

Further proof if needed that theres nothing stopping CCFC from been biggest in the land......
