I know its not a new thing but the league really truely needs some younger refs. Some of the refs in town are just in it for the money and are clearly past it. The league must do something to entice people into refereeing. I know the stick that the refs get doesn't help the case though.

Went through ref seminar this year been ref for schoolboys for last few months ... have much more respect for the referee's these guys who say there in it for the money, don't know what there talking about they are doing for the same reason i'm starting to do it.. they love the game.

its not them who destroy the integrity of the game its the players lack of respect of anyone bar themselves that have done it..

On that note, any other suggestions for match of the season?? Corbally v Balla , Carew Pk v Fairview, etc

it was a great game but aisling did def... not deserve to win far from it carew were 3-1 up and than 4-2 up in the second half. ref gave UL a disgraceful pen it was prob one of the worst pens given to a team iv seen in a long time corbett clearly slid in wrapped his two feet around the ball and came out with it and tony points to the spot crazy. two goalkeeping mistakes from mona got ul there 3rd and 4th goals failing to hold onto the ball again no one blames him because he is not a keeper. but again it was our owe fault we had plenlty of chances to mak it 5 or 6-2 and did,t take them again.

I'm pretty sure Fairview have 2 home games remaining against Pike and ULAA.

The dodgy peno was given to partly make up for the gift of 2 off side goals.
Mona spilled the free that was hit with that in mind, 5 AA players could have tapped it in, did not se any carew players there to bail out their keeper.
AA scored two well worked goals and finished the last 15 minutes looking like they would win the game.

Anyway who cares both teams will be playing premier football next season
