    What pubs have Setanta?

Does your local have Setanta Sports 1?

Nope it does not. You have to subscribe extra to it. And have to in turn take their full 12 month card for it.

Considering we the taxpayers ARE FORCED to pay for a TV license whether we will watch RTE or not, I think its only fair that RTE should show the game on Thursday rather than show 'Friends' repeats or some other banal nonsense. Its not fair - if this really is the station of the people, they should try and help out the people's culture when its in need.

They show bogball the people's "unterculture" instead ;or Premiershi* which actually doesn't get the coverage they thought it would because people prefer to watch that stuff elsewhere. This is the so-called national TV station which in 1996/97 showed NO EL clubs in action at all .

Setanta has different channels for Ireland, Britian and North America. They don't show the same stuff. See http://www.derrycitychat.com/phpBB2/...pic.php?t=6361

The Bot and Hatfield have Setanta in Belfast.

Just to let you know that any pub that subscribes to Sky sports commercially gets setanta sports 1 as part of the sky package.
This is not the case residentially.
