Why not show it on RTE!
Considering we the taxpayers ARE FORCED to pay for a TV license whether we will watch RTE or not, I think its only fair that RTE should show the game on Thursday rather than show 'Friends' repeats or some other banal nonsense. Its not fair - if this really is the station of the people, they should try and help out the people's culture when its in need.
Agree 100% but unfortunatly RTE dont give a sh!t. I emailed them before the Derry/Gothenburg and Drogs/Helsinki matches asking them to consider showing them and never got a proper reply aside from we will pass your comment on to the relevent section ...
RTE dont give a sh!t about the license payers or the el

They show bogball the people's "unterculture" instead ;or Premiershi* which actually doesn't get the coverage they thought it would because people prefer to watch that stuff elsewhere. This is the so-called national TV station which in 1996/97 showed NO EL clubs in action at all .
Setanta has different channels for Ireland, Britian and North America. They don't show the same stuff. See http://www.derrycitychat.com/phpBB2/...pic.php?t=6361
The Bot and Hatfield have Setanta in Belfast.
Just to let you know that any pub that subscribes to Sky sports commercially gets setanta sports 1 as part of the sky package.
This is not the case residentially.
Im working down in Cork, is there any good pubs down here with setanta?
