    Chris McCann

I see Burnley's Young Player of the Season last year completed the full 90 minutes in the 2-0 defeat of QPR on Saturday and by all accounts had a very decent game.

After following him a little I think McCann could turn out to be one of our most promising young players over the course of this season. He has a cracking left foot and is not shy to have a crack with it. He banged in a few goals last year and hopefully will take up where he left off and mature into a good player.

If Garvan, McCann, O'Brien and Ireland can continue where they left off last season and Timlin can continue his pre-season form for Fulham (I'm sure he'll get a few sub appearances at the start of the season) we might resolve some of our midfield problems before we get too deep into the Euro 2008 campaign.

How has Timlin been doing in preseason? I haven't heard anything about Fulham's games

He has played all the pre-season games starting about 50%. Considering the teams in most friendlies have been mainly the Fulham senior squad from last season with only a couple of young players thrown in I'd say he should get a run out this year. He also got a new contract before the start of the season so he must be rated.
