five live just said its an even enough game desipte the fact you'd think the scottish first division side would be at a higher level than the Irish side

Maybe Gretna are a decent side but cant believe he would think the whole first division are of a higher standard than our Eircom League...

Im going back to Radio Foyle
    John Delaney!! GET OUT!!!

i just switched over from radio foyle to bbc radio 5 online stream
bbc 1st comment.. gretna playing all the football.. derry alot more direct

"this was called the battle of the underdogs.. thats probably a bit unfair on gretna"

ffs like we had to deal with those arrogant swedes before from malmo and stockholm with cork city and gothenburg for ye,... but this is unreal

u'd swear gretna were ac milan

all you can hear are derry fans singing/.... red and white army...
bbc commentator.. "all you can hear are the gretna fans" !!!! unreal..

amateur hour.. think i might go back to radio foyle before i throw my laptop at the wall
    life is random

"a very British cup tie...' according to 5 live; and Derry have won 4 titles 'since moving south' ...... the idea of the whole town drifting slowly down the country is irresistible

I have never heard 'Derry' said so many times on the BBC.

Forde is up to his usual tricks. Some pretty bad gaffes by him. Derry coped very well with going behind and continued to play their game patiently and calmly. The two sides look very even in ability. Derry are controlling the game more but look susceptible on the break.

Anyone else flicking between RTÉ Radio 1 and BBC Five Live? The diffference on viewpoints is hilarious!

I don't see the problem. Teams in Britain and Ireland play what is regarded on the continent and even the rest of the world as the British style of football. The game looks very much like any game you could watch in both islands.

Did you see the face on Stephen Kenny when he was asked by the Setanta reporter how he felt about playing another British team?!!!

Kenny didn't know whether to pick him up on it or not, but you could see his eyes pop....he took a breath and let it pass.

I find the Setanta commentary irritating. As it's on the UK channel which shows the SPL they're using Scottish commentators who cleary want Gretna to win.

    Foyle are about the same!

You can hear someone else in the background calling out pass after pass yet they tend to have 30 sec gaps between passing
