    Derry-Gretna goals

New thread just to highlight it.

TV3 just said they'll be showing the goals from the game tonight - either in the news or in Sports Tonight at 11:30.

Just showed Deery's first - unbelievable strike!

I know it's in the nature of LoI fans to be hypersensitive, but in the preview for sports tonight, Damien Duff's debut for Newcastle was given precedence over the Derry game FFS!

Was the same on all of Today FM's sports news throughout the day. What a joke...

Just seen the goals on TV3 & while first was a header at least 3 of the others were stunners.

Keeper should have saved the free kick but still great strike. Martyns last strike possibly pick of the bunch.

Just saw the goals there myself. I was listening to the second half on the radio (Radio 1) on the way back from work and it sounded like the commentary team were about to have a collective coronary!

The goals sounded stunning from the commentary and having seen them the boys (Radio 1 commentary team) did them justice. Absolutely top drawer stuff.

Fair play to Stephen Kenny, fair play to Derry City and fair play to Derry City supporters for turning up in their numbers tonight. They have done themselves and the rest of the eL proud tonight by stuffing those arrogant cü*tz. Delighted for them!

Bit harsh on the keeper IMO. I know it went straight over him but he was only about 3 yards off his line and the pace at which the ball was travelling made it nearly unstoppable! I know you said it was still a great strike but keeper deserves no critacism IMO.

Unbelieveable goals though. Delighted for them! Congrats to Derry City FC.

I'd say there's an odds on chance the goals will be shown on either UTV or BBC NI news tomorrow evening. Worth waiting for,...

I thought that at first myself but then I saw a slo-mo replay on Sky Sports News: the curve was massive and it dipped at the last moment. Keeper hadn't a chance.

They were on last night, BBC only showed two of them though I think. I was flicking from one news to the next to see them. TV3 had the best coverage.

Noticed that myself and then berated myself for my hypersensitivity.

the quality of the goals was outstanding and IMO Ciaran Martyn is the best player in the league and proved it last night. Roddy, Roddy what's the score?
