    Don't mind nshoop.
He thinks Rovers played well in the match and dominated the second half.He also thinks Rovers fans were louder than us!
Go to the "Friday latest" thread and you'll see another Rovers fan takes an unbiased view of the match.

FC hammer we should have a decent support down in Rathbane.

There's nothing about the match in the thread. It's just some teenage Rovers fans saying how they totally dominated the game.
He was saying the same thing after our first draw earlier in the season.

It's disappointing we lost but there's still half the season to go. A win in Limerick and we're back on track. Rovers won't lose many games this season the way they play but they will also have a few 0-0 draws as they're pretty poor going forward.

The league is really tight now but we're still in a good position.
I phoned the speaking clock to hear a voice speak, it said - "At the tone you will be very much alone"

spot on there JC. Everyone is talking as if we are in the final run in to the end of the season. There is a lot of points to be won or lost yet. Finn Harps were saying for the last few weeks that they were going to concentrate on next season, yet after there win today, they are now just 2 or 3 points behind ourselves! The only guarantee is that the teams that will be on top this season is the team that eventually finds the way of putting a good long winning streak together and no one has shown that yet.

What we have started to do under Cousins, is to keep the ball on the ground and pass it about. This style of football is the most successful and if we can improve with every game playing this way, it will leave us in good standings at the end of the season. Roll on tuesday night and hopefully get back on track with yet another 3 points against Limerick.

Our last game was against Rovers and our next three are against Limerick, Harps and Dundalk - even at this stage of the season, these are huge games. In the mean time, Rovers have pretty easy-looking games.

didn't Dundalk win 7/8 games in quick succession? Still dont think they're our major threat though. Harps cant last the pace after letting go so many of their best players, Lims need to nearly double their squad, Cobh seem to have a few issues in the team camp and Utd can hopefully string a few wins together to capitalise on this situation. Our problem for the last few seasons was being mid table at this stage and putting on a spurt too late so hopefully we're well placed to take it towards the end

Only Conor Gethins would be in that category. Breen has been fairly out of form this season. Cooney is no loss and I think Mokendi is still around but injured.

Galway and Rovers look like the teams that'll take the top 2 places, if only because they tend to lose less than anyone else. It's a woeful division in which many of the teams are horribly defensive most of the time. Most games could go either way, and even the bottom teams are able to cause shocks. For all our problems Harps could easily finish top four and therefore have some chance of going up. It'd all be very entertaining if the football weren't so bad!

    Yup nail on the head.
All of the teams are pretty poor.I still think we can win thie league and come the end of it Rovers will be our main challengers. Also Gethins looked very good on Friday night.Did anybody else find it odd that he was substituted?
    Roll on tomorrow!

without stating the obvious - gethins gives me the impression he needs the ball played to feet, or something to run onto in space - he cant compete in the air - which was happening in the first half as galway played long high balls

with barry i think he gave us a different option - not that more effective - as the ball tended to stay on the ground more in the second half!
    more water!
