obviously someone studying journalism at ucd wrote this,i really cant understand how people think ucd outplayed rovers. best thing about UCD was their front 2..2 great players btw. Rovers were terrible though in fairness, although they definetly werent outplayed,i can only remember dick brush having to make 2-3 saves
Show me a report which says we didn't thoroughly deserve the three points. We were clearly the better team and played most of the football and to better effect. Add all of that together, and we outplayed youz.
im sorry if thats what you think, and its your opinion but i just dont see how you can think that, UCD played alot of sloppy football
Also there is no journalism course (at least not on the CAO or as a Masters) in UCD.
Oh and I heard there might be a postgrad diploma but I haven't seen any proof to back this up.

Here.If you're going to correcting grammar then where's this in the dictionary?.
Life without Rovers, it makes no sense...it's a heartache...nothing but a fools game. S.R.F.C.
There's a wee bit of a difference between there being an absence of proper punctuation and someone using an informal variant of the second person plural, a word which is known to cause confusion due to it being identical to the second person singular.
You cite your own official site as an example?![]()
That's not a match report; that's a manager interview. You may as well take Wenger's waffling as a match review.Originally Posted by sligoman

Eleven-a-side - “Sligo were all at sea”
FAI - “UCD were the better team in [the] first half”
RTE - “UCD were the better team” (possibly from the same source as the FAI one)
Sligo Rovers site - “The visitors were well worth their lead”
Any newspaper I read the following day - Irish Times, Irish Examiner, Star, Sun - all said we were the better team and thoroughly deserved victory. The Sun even went as far as to give Sligo 6/10 for entertainment and UCD 8/10.
Anyway, in fairness to the majority of Sligo fans on the forum, I think this should be ended/split and binned. It's going around in circles and the likes of sligoman, Rogue Trader and a couple of others are only embarrassing the majority of Sligo fans who are able to accept defeat by a better team on the day.

Did you actually read what I posted on the Rovers section about the match?
More nonsense from Sligo: http://www.sligoweekender.ie/news/story.asp?j=29191
We're not arrogant, we're just better.
[QUOTE=pineapple stu;513309]I apologise - you had one silly comment about UCD in general, but you're right - your match analysis was right. I've edited you out of the post.
What you believed to be a silly comment, any side that attracts 80 people to a Dublin derby doesnt deserve to be in a national domestic league away side or not.
And Dublin City are gone.
Your quote was that Sligo would get more than us if you were in the local leagues. Our usual home fan base is about 400. You've evidently forgotten the bandwagon status of Irish supporters if you think you'd get that in the local leagues. Therefore, your comment was stupid.
