    Kennedy for Connaught Secretary !

I read with surprise that Tom Kelly has distance himself from the Mayo League. So we are made to believe when he writes his column in the Connaught Telegraph regards to this week’s edition of Kelly’s Corner.
He informs us of major restructuring of the Connaught Football Association.
Mind you he dose say its unofficial, he says the F.A.I .are to put in its own administrator in place to run the provincial body’s fixtures, and other business and to remove Mr Quigley as chairman. He Tom Kelly falls short to mention.

He goes on to say that the Mayo League had been Campaigning for such changes for many years, well does he mean by removing his own Chairman from office surly not, the buck stops at his desk for failure of the Connaught Football Association.
You are right about one thing when he comments on F.A.I. officially announces its decision on the matter.
Do they intend to discuss the out come with the clubs who make up the membership Connaught Association? Or do they intend to inform them of there decision without debate. Then you talk up genuine hope of power and politics,
It’s thought that the Connaught Football Association has its own Administrator in the name of Art Friel who performs his duty without question. The League also has a secretary Noel Kennedy who I must remind you are elected by the clubs, and it’s there right remove him alone at the next A.G.M. if they wish to do so. It must be pointed out to your paper that Mr Kennedy acted with the utmost professional that he is when dealing with appeals against the Mayo League and the out come shown this to be the case. In other words gave the decision to the Mayo League club who in the first place should have done so.
So before you and your paper get lost in the long awaited Connaught F.A. Shake up, the Clubs and those who represent that league have there say as well.

This post is better off not being replied to until official information comes out at least and time to think about whatever implications it may have and discuss in a mature, civilised debate without slagging off the vested parties.

If the local papers can comment I dont see why I can't have my view on the matter.
    Waiting on your kind response?

    Message to Renovater

I agree with Thunderblaster. I do not think it is worthy of comment, other than to say that the 12th Man should keep a close eye to the comments that are being made. It is wrong to be quoting people by names or pseudonym on this forum. If people have a gripe with the press or people involved in football, then there is an option of writing to the editor of the paper and outlining the issues. Of course the person will have to give his name and address, and that may not suit the Renovater. By the way it would also help if there was a spelling and grammar check done before sending any comments to the press.

Sure Bestie you would have in vested interest not anyone to coment on matters that would concern you as for the papers well it would be doubtful they would print it anyway because there would be invested interest also.
One thing you fail to mention is to comfirm whether or not what is said is untrue or does the truth hurt.the attack is the best form of defence, so you decide to (challenge) the grammar.
Well I think we understand the content of what is being said?
what I say has all ready being quoted to me.
By the way this is cyber space not the same as what is printed in the press.
One more point have you ever printed anythink without permission of the source?careful here.

    Thumbs down mesage to bestie

I see once again you are filling us with more misguided info in your local new rag
you failed to mention that the chairman done a deal when he step down from office.
    Or did you forget?
I do agree the Connaught League was a mess but you must look no further than those who were involved.
Should you re-elect same status Quo, what's the point of the F.A.I.coming in the first place.
where does that leave Art Friel who was doing a good job.
Its my opinion that he should be the person to be appionted my the F.a.i. to take control of Connaght in the first place.
At leased he knows how the land lies.
Its also my opinion that the Connaght does not need poeple to hold office for last 20 -30years its you and members of Connaght has aloud this to happen.
You and your Committee fail a number of years ago to implement changes that were sought at an Agm to have rotation of officers, which would have brought new blood.
You also must remember once there were number of football competitions played now there just one.Who the blame for this?
So before you start accusing me for speeking out you should show the off side flag to those who are responable for the mess that is caused.

I'm closing this thread for the moment lads as there's a fair bit of muck flying about with names getting mentioned all over the place.

In my opinion the thread is going nowhere and will end up in a "he said - you said" arguement.

I suggest contacting the relevant organisations directly concerned/mentioned in this thread if you have an issue regarding it/them.
