thats a game we would have

drawn earlier in the season, but we held on,i just dont like seeing us sitting back like that.we deserved a second just about, game was kinda scrappy but good.charles is an absolute brick wall, nothing went past him tonight, was superb.WHY DOES DEREK O BRIEN KEEP STARTING GAMES??????.i dont like the combo of fran and ciaran in midfield either, they are both similar type players, should be 1 of them and someone like russel or mixie to pass it around, ciaran was passing into spaces it seemed, not to players, still though what he lacks in passing vision he more then made up for in workrate and passion and cleared off the line when needed.new striker conor has a great first touch but looks kinda light and small.there was many positives from tonight though-workrate,passion,wes charles, another clean sheet, and we won in front of a nice crowd for once.
i havent been to many away games this season but might go to tolka next week.
QS:when was last time we lost a league game at home??????last autumn, yes???

I thought we had a great first half but lims done an arsenal on us in the second half. they pushed up for everything. foley fought for everything and for me had his best game so far. Wes was just too big for lims he cleared everything. Our weekest link tonight was o brien. he can dribble the ball till the cows come home but can't cross it! I can't wait for raf to come back, we'll be lethal then!

Did any of the new signings play?

I haven't been to many games this year because of work but do you think that Cousins is really making a difference or are we just on a good run?

well, wes charles started - hes like a brick wall! headed away everything all night. and the other two came on in the second have, looked abit shakey but theyll find there grove. gethins looks like a great little player, alot of pace.

Cousins has made a great start with utd n may it continue

Still plenty of improvement needed I think. Our midfield certainly lost the battle at home against a team who are badly out of form.

Ciaran Foley was Man of the Match - as is often the case when players line out against their former clubs. His touch was superb.

    ciaran

i thought he worked hard and can be very good at getting about the place if he could just improve his passing he would be really good , his completion rate of passing is about 20%. still he could be at his real valuable best next fri fighting like a terrier

Dunno how you'd give Foley man of the match, he gave the ball away most of the time he got it. Fran wasn't great either. Centre-mid is our worst area.

Man of the match for me was Wes. A person doing the gate said the offical paying attendance along with season tickets was 1130. Add on the amount of kids that were there that got in for free would have brought the attendance to around 1300-1350 Great to get a win infront of a crowd for once.

Well done to all the players and staff last night. Things are bright, there maroon and white.

Good buzz around the place alright, even if it were a moderate game. Winning is all that matters at this point.

missed most of first half and goal thanks to late train

charles looked solid - thought odonnell had a premier touch the few times he got the ball to feet - made time for himself - gethins was lightning quick

so much so he would start two yards onside and the linesman would still see him off

he looked really sharp - some good sevice and that lad will get goals

have to say foley was solid - covered so much ground himself and fran - sure they gave the ball away but they prevented limerick getting enough of the ball to create anything wothwhile

the crosses and frees they had in the second half from the wings were all dealt with comfortably

still dont like the way control of the game is let go late on - sort that out next home game - tight game against rovers is required
    more water!
