its the age of broadband and the inter-net, work places should be more flexible when its possible to work with your pc, an internet connection and a phone. there is nothing in an office job you cant do as well if not better from your own home.
Its just not possible....most of my work involves dealing with the public by phone so just not feasible. Thanks tho!

can you not leave a message like " due to unforseen problems I 'm not available at this number, if is important, you can contact me at .......!" or can you do redirect on the phone? Where if someone rings the work number, the call is redirected to your home/mobile number if it is unanswered in the office.

Could you not just divert your work phone to your home/mobile for
incoming and get them to cover the cost of any calls you have to make

    Now there's a put down...

I have a similar problem in that I fractured my metatarsals in my foot a few weeks ago and I've been hobbling around here since day in and day out - I don't envy you Ms. Magicme

Do you have one of those neck pillows people use for flying?
Use one of those with a spare chair and it could work

    Update:

Due to my falling last week I was advised to take 3 days complete rest so due to Bank Holiday am only back today....Pain killers are still making my tummy sick & now have an eye infection to contend with also. Am feeling really rough but dont want to be at home anymore coz my muscles are aching from just lying around all day! Oh and was mega bored.

Short week this week so will hopefully survive....only 3 more weeks from Thursday til I get the cast off!
