Bad news for you on that!Originally Posted by The_Runner
At his own request Joxer and Bohs have started talking about a new contract.
When that contract is up, he'll look at moving back to England, but a move to Norway is dead in the water.
All of this is down to our new elite training facilites at DCU, as he wants to do a bit of study!![]()

Start are 12th in a 14 team league but it's a very tight table. Gretna have just been promoted to the Scottish 1st Division but they have a squad of experienced former SPL players and a hugely prolific GP up front and are backed by a lot of money.Originally Posted by robbiesdrogs
taken off some of the bbc forumsGretna should beat them quite comfortably, even if the game is at Fir Park and not Raydale.
Put it this way, Derry city are just another pub team, but they are no Artmedia Bratislava. They are a part-time Irish team, were a definite step-up in quality. Are they Swedes??

Well Shels actually qualified for the UEFA Cup proper but they played in the game before the groups are decidedOriginally Posted by robbiesdrogs
I like the fact that the Scots are getting a bit cocky - if they underestimate Derry they could get hammered.
Let them think that!Originally Posted by joema
Haha, one of them is using the logic that Dundee thrashed Irish teams in a pre season tour therefore equating that Gretna will win easily.
They got beat 3-0 by Morcombe in pre season ffs and they think they are super.Originally Posted by Soper
gretna are no mugs- they are mostly pro andprobably as good as a mediocre spl side at this point - well bottom six anyway
they have a lot of heart and probably see this as a good draw for them too. all in all having seen both sides in the last 12 months I reckon derry have the edge but it's close and no reason why derry can't go through but they'll need to be at their best.
I don't mean this in any condescending way, but I think Derry will win both legs. That's my opinion, so no need for anyone to compile a post listing the intricate virtues of the Scottish League and Gretna.
Drogheda will need a lot of luck.

Fir Park will be full of hearts celtic (insert any other fans in spl) supporting them so it is important we get as many as we can over.
Will they? Aren't Start near the bottom of their domestic league? And IIRC, they were the lowest ranked seeded team. Seems like a good draw to me.Originally Posted by Soper
The Norwegian league is higher up the table than the league that Crvena Zvedza are from, but aside from that all teams need a lot of luck in Europe.I just hope the ''direct'' tactics that they were playing against HJK can work again.Perhaps I should worded my post slightly better though

I would just like to say that the Scots are worse than the Swedes!! They appear in the Scottish cup final and think they're great cause they played in front of 50,000, what an acheivement!
People get that way when closer to thr Artic.Originally Posted by Dazzy

Sorry to ask what more than likely has already been asked! If either Irish team wins their tie they get into the group stage of the UEFA? or is there another round? Cheers.
Ronnie their is another round!
Was thinking so, it is all very confusing!
