Lads, I think he is correct to a certain extent. Not as many Buffs are going to the games as use to & likewise fewer from the town yet there is a sizably less contingent of Sod-Busters than before. I was chatting to a lad from Cliffoney (an ardent fan) & I said how I hadn’t seen him there in ages, a few years ago they use to fill a bus every week for the matches & now he cant get a car load, because of the summer football the farmers wont travel they are up to there t1ts. Plus 15 euros is steep for a LOI game not everybody can afford it, the terrace in Richmond Park was only 10 euros for the Pats game a few weeks ago, why not offer this as an option?
"buffs" - classic - not living in Sligo I havent heard that one ages.
Saying more people from south Sligo go to the games is wrong imo. Support from south Sligo towns like Riverstown, Ballymote, Tubbercurry etc and north sligo towns like Grange and Cliffoney have always provided good support for the rovers - is this farming excuse really having that large effect!?!?!
I wouldn’t think that’s quite correct, but cant argue cause I don’t have the figures & I presume you don’t either so we will have to agree to disagree, But if it is, then rightly so cause over 50% of the population must live south of the town. Secondly I couldn’t care less if they are arriving from the moon once they are going to the games I am as happy to see Buffs as minks at the games, so I refuse to get drawn any further into the ”Buffs bring more argument”.
So us townies are the minks!
Ah the buffs mightnt know the meaning of the word minker in its true form.
Its classic that a small town of less than 20,000 people theres this supposed town /country thing!
This is a fascinating insight, please continue.

Nice food chain effect going here. The already funny idea of Sligo town deriding the 'country' folk elicits a burst of sarcasm from someone possibly labouring under the impression that Dublin is the epitome of cosmopolitan glamour.
We're just a wee island, but all apparently dying for someone to look down on.![]()
"Even if the wind stops to blow
Even if the sea ceases to flow
Even if the sun ceases to rise
The name of Sligo Rovers will shine and shine forever like the morning star glittering in the sky."
