Devine mentioned anywhere near best player in the league? He's not even the best keeper...![]()
It's impossible to tell, it depends on what sort of player fits into a team. A good defender would probably look great at Waterford or *perhaps* a creative midfielder at Longford would be brilliant and we'd all start talking about him.
Though Farrelly is doing an outstanding job week in week out...![]()

Tell all the Bohs you know
that we've gone and won two-in-a-row
and it's not gonna be three
and it's not gonna be four
it's more likely to be 5-1.
Toss up between Ndo and Gamble for me. Joxer has great potential but definitly not best in league. Martyn is class but Id have Gamble, Ndo and McCourt ahead of him.
Also Devine is the best keeper around - pure class

He is the best by a mile and Im not biased - you are a Rovers fan, correct? His performanes in Europe this year and last year have been unreal
He's certainly not the best "by a mile". In fact there's a fairly high stanard of keepers in the league. IMO Barry Ryan is the best (and I've had this opinion since his UCD Days)

Bohs are going bust.
he may have done well in the second leg, but he was very dodgy in the first leg, and almost cost an away goal with a terrible howler when he let the free kick under his body.Originally Posted by joema

All the familiar names mentioned above i concur with ie Heary, McCourt, Gavin, Ndo, George.
I'd throw in Jason Byrne aswell definately.
Alan Bennett has been Citys most important player recently imo.
But my choice for best player would be Gamble (biased).
Also concur with whoever said Molloy etc turn it on the odd time but don't get to showcase it enough.
For me, Neale Fenn is head and shoulders above anyone on the Cross pitch . . . . . . sometimes.

City definetly have the best bands playing at half-time.
O'Bama - "Eerah yeah, I'd say we can alright!"
G.O'Mahoney Trapattoni'll sort ém out!!
Devines' age and experience must also be taken into acount, Devine is 33! where as the rest of his rivals are a good bit younger(Connor 25, Forde 26, Ryan 27, Delaney 26)
Fenn is head and shoulders above anyone on any pitch........ sometimes, but to loosely quote Barry FryOriginally Posted by Risteard

Farrelly on form (and on the pitch) is a better player than most.

The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.
Joseph Ndo is by far the best player in the league.
Ciaran Martyn is the most under-rated.
Then why were yous calling for his head?He is a very good player and an ok manager with a lot of patience and bottle, you would be f*cked without him!Originally Posted by BohDiddley

Who's under-rating Martyn?Originally Posted by DmanDmythDledge
I think that if this straw poll were taken 3 months ago there'd be a lot less Ndo mentioned and maybe a bit more O'Callaghan?

Well I don't think he gets the praise he deserves. He is a far more important player for Derry than McCourt but yet almost all the media spotlight is put in McCourt.Originally Posted by el punter
