SC1 Sports fully analysed his performance last night. He had to adopt a somewhat different role to what we have been accustomed to seeing, but an industrious display nonetheless.

It was a bit of a Lampard but they all count. Possibly would have been out of the keeper's reach had it not been deflected.

27 passes seems a low figure alright for 90 minutes play. Although I suppose you could add his match-winning pass into the back of City's net and call it an even 28.![]()
Watching the second half of this Everton game and Gibson just made an excellent run from deep midfield to get himself into a great position in the box only for that lump Fellaini to get in his way. Gibson was fuming. 15 million for an obstacle of a player.
End Apartheid Now! One Team in Ireland!
Gibson now into a more advanced role, having played deeper with Neville. Fellaini drops deep to be an obstacle to the opposition rather than his own team.

Maybe I've been a bit harsh on Fellaini today, even if he has been an obstacle to his own team, getting in the way and missing sitters. Nevertheless, for a £15 million player, he's only a bit above average.
Gibson off on 82 minutes for England prodigy Ross Barkley.

Subbed off, I thought he had a very decent game, although that's easy to do against a weakened Blackpool.
Funny, I have no idea who works for the independent, so I though that was a joke, tragically I learned in later posts it wasn't.
I had to look up Roy Curtis too, I thought it was amusingly written in an over the top kind of way, I woudl prefer that
than just stating the dry facts of the matter.
Out of the Czech game with a knee injury. Shame, it could have been his opportunity to muscle in ahead of Whelan or Andrews. I guess it explains the Green call-up though.

I see his move hasn't banished his chronic case of friendly-itus
Great to see him straight back in at the expense of fellani today after injury
quality performance today was stand out midfielder on pitch which is decent when u see what swansea have done to better teams. Very good passer and vision and really has added urgency to his game. Great signing for eveton
Great signing for us too!
I just wish he'd left Man U years ago
So which two should start from Whelan, Gibson, Andrews and MCarthy?
There seems to be a lot of mixed opinions about all these players on this forum.
Have Andrews and Gibson ever played together?
I don't think so IP, not that I can recall anyway.
I actually think any 3 of those 4 would make a very good middle part of a 5 man midfield.
