Joining Everton would be good for Gibson and Ireland. Moyes is adept at getting the best out of his players and after his recent poor behaviour and Anderson's return, Ferguson may be very happy to see the back of him.

You lot seem to write any rubbish whatsoever. Lazy, lazy nonsense. Everton need a striker, a creative No. 10, after that a winger, after that a right back and finally back up for centre halves and Leighton Baines. The one thing we certainly don't need is an industrious central midfielder. Fellaini, Rodwell, Neville, Heitinga and Cahill are already there and better than Darren Gibson. I'm Irish and have seen the lad play and he is not good enough for United or Everton. That's the harsh truth. I will never purchase your paper which has become more readily available in Ireland ever again as the football related stories are constant fiction other than actual match reports. Unbelievable level of lies. Do your jobs properly and do some research and fieldwork. By the way, if what I'm saying is libelous then we will see if Everton make any enquiry into the player mentioned. It won't be happening. No chance!
Great quote that sums up my feelings on that. Moyes would be crucified if he spent whatever slim funds he has on Gibson of all people, the only slim possibility is a short term loan.

How long will Rodwell be at Everton though?

Anyway, I believe Gibson's a good player who'd benefit greatly from regular game time and sound stewardship / direction from a manager needing to get the best out of what he has, rather than one who has the fall back of big resources. Who that manager might be I don't know, but Moyes would fit the bill.

I suspect Ferguson will move for Rodwell this month and Gibson will be a makeweight.

I think Cleverley's emergence and the signing of Jones has killed off whatever thoughts Ferguson might have been having about Rodwell.

In total agreement with you Stutts. Gibson needs a move and Ferguson has shown interest in Rodwell. Gibson would probably only move as part of a Rodwell deal.

Gibson not in the squad tonight, Pogba and Jessie Lingard preferred to him on the bench. Sounds like the end of his Utd career.

Sadly I believe Gibson is not good enough for Everton. I would put him behind fellini, rodwell, cahill , heitinga (put him on par with Neville). No point him sitting on evertons bench. Shame he didnt move to Sunderland with JOS in the Summer. Any credibility he has is deminishing rapidly. Needs games and needs them fast.

Cahill and, unless it's an emergency, Heitinga don't play in midfield for Everton though. And he is a type of player they don't have and could benefit from - like an inferior version of Arteta in many ways.

After todays events , me thinks that coffin holding Gibsons United Career has been buried.

Looking at a United midfield with two 37 year olds in it and looking like they are going to lose a 3-0 lead against 10 men

Darron needs to leave that club for the sake of his career and quickly

The scholes business is very damning for Gibson and the confidence Ferguson has in him. It was Rafael the week before, it seems like he's very much buying into the idea of "anyone but Gibson". If he can't even get a bench slot in times of dire midfield problems for them its stating the blindingly obvious that he has no future there.

Writing was on the wall in the summer when Ferguson clearly tried to sell him to Sunderland, his slim chance of changing his mind was destroyed with his party antics. Would be amazed if he played for Man United again, if he doesn't move now he'll be rotting in the reserves for the rest of the season. Looking at the bigger picture if he doesn't secure at least a loan move this window I don't think he'll be in any fit condition for our Euro 2012 squad.

'Out-of-favour Man United midfielder Gibson mulls over summer Bosman': http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/foo...sman-move.html

Manchester United outcast Darron Gibson is considering rejecting Everton’s overtures and leaving on a free transfer this summer.

The 24-year-old will be out of contract at the end of the season. Aston Villa have also shown interest.
That's the entire "article", by the way. I think it's the shortest I've ever seen. Does anyone care for poor Gibby?

If he has any real desire to play in Poland this summer, he'd be well advised to get out of United asap. If he waits until the summer, it may be more financially beneficial to him but he won't get picked for the Euros stuck in Uniteds reserves.

I can see Gibson going the Liam Miller route very fast. Road to nowhere.

I think you've hit the nail on the head for Darron's priorities.

Why would Darron wait until the summer for a free transfer? I'd presume that United don't expect a fee for him, and if they do, then it would be rather nominal.

He seriously needs a move now rather than later. It's a fairly critical decision as to whom he should join. Everton seem to have plenty midfield options but their interest in Gibson appears to be fairly long-standing, it the paper talk is genuine. Looking down through the league table, I'm finding it quite difficult to figure what club he'd fit in best at, in terms of who his style would suit best and which clubs have an opening for a midfielder.

Keith Andrews is looking for a move to another premiership club too, it seems. It'll be interesting to compare how that pair fare between now and June.

Darrons actions in the next 3 weeks will tell you a lot where his priorities lie.

If he doesn't make a move, then he shouldn't go to Poland.
