here here - and good idea about any maroon jersey
This coming friday's match against Limerick Fc is to be Jersey Day.
All attendees are asked to wear their Galway United Jersey, wether
it be maroon, sky blue, white, green or even a galway gaelic/hurling
jersey! A huge attendance is hoped for this match due to its timing
and opposition... everyone try and bring at least one new person to
Terryland and let the local and national media know about it too.

Francis so keep up the good work.If we managed to get over half the people in terryland weraing a gufc jersey or anything maroon they can find as well as Argentina Jerseys what a boost it would be for Tony and the lads.
We should also encourage people to bring flags especially big ones so we will have a packed noisy vibrant Terryland on Friday. Lets get people texting GBFM and the other radio stations and getting onto the local media to try and fill the place Roll on Friday !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Fair play for getting this official lads. Hopefully the local media will promote it. Esteemed odds-compiler Julian Canny (and myself for what it matters) has made us 8-11 to win the game. Rovers will do well to win in Athlone as well. We couldn't be playing Limerick at a better time and I believe our confidence to be at its highest point this season.
To kick off Festival week in the city, Galway United will be having a Jersey
Day at this coming Friday night’s home game against western rivals – and
fellow First Division title contenders - Limerick FC at Terryland Park.
The world-renowned seven-day Galway races begin at Ballybrit on Monday
evening, with crowds certain to throng the city throughout the week.
In addition, the Galway gaelic football side meet Westmeath in an All-Ireland
Football fourth round qualifier at Pearse Stadium on Saturday evening.
But it is the Galway United side which will begin a huge week for sport in the
city with their big top-of-the-table clash with Limerick at Terryland Park on
Friday.
And the club is encouraging fans to don their jerseys for the game and bring
along the maroon and white flags to create a carnival atmosphere befitting
the beginning of Festival week.
Just two points separate the top five sides in the First Division, with Galway
in second place, a point off leaders Shamrock Rovers, and ahead of fourth-
placed Limerick on goal difference.

Colour and Noise from 7.30 on friday night. There were over 1,000 jerseys sold in the last 12 months so we should encourage anyone going up to wear their colours with pride look how good Turners Cross looked last night so lets get all the Flags up early as well.
The Club,Tony,Nick & Goughy have shown their ambition with 3 quality signings and 3 wins on the trot its now time for the supporters from City and County to get behind them so we can all look forward to the 2nd half of the season.
Will try and ensure we have all of the drums aswell.

jersey day 2006 was a huge success. great to see so many kids and
adults alike wearing gufc jerseys, gaa jerseys and even the tourists
wore their national strip. big attendance too - anyone got the official
number? terryland's looking great, pitch was in perfect condition last
night, fair play to all the ground staff. cant wait for the new stand now,
will make terryland one of the nicest compact stadiums in the country.
