As of today Dublin City have ceased to exist (insert your own icon as applicable) and the Premier has now become an 11 team division. Does anyone see this increasing Limerick's chances of being in the new Premiership next year or were DC always going to miss out? Also any support for a new entrant into the League for next year? Kerry perhaps?
If you don't like John 3:7...
There's always Limerick 37!

To be honest I'm disappointed to see that Dublin City have folded. We've come close to it ourselves so I wouldn't start joking about it. It reflects badly on the Eircom League and hammers home the point that the League badly needs to be reformed to protect the future of the game.
Limerick 37, its so shiny and new we dare not take the cover off.
Agree with Nempton on this one. This is on the cards since the league voted for the re-structuring and the merger. They were a decent bunch with a good Chairman and I feel a bit sorry for them.
They wont be the last one - 60% or more of the clubs in this league are in financial trouble.

I'm not trying to have a go at nshoop but the general attitude of Rovers to clubs in crisis - they are still in denial about their own problems. When they do get Tallaght - and I hope they get it soon - there will be Rovers fans insisting clubs have their own grounds. Now that they have their own tax affairs in order they will insist that other clubs have there's in order. Now that they seem to have financial affairs in order (by being left off the hook by the Revenue) they are calling for other clubs to be financially sound.Originally Posted by nshoop
If they applied the same logic to themselves while they were in teh sh1t they would have been kicked out of the league.
They remind me of a recovering alcoholic/smoker/gambler who becomes completely against drink/fags/betting.![]()
Sorry nshoop - you just reminded of that.![]()

I'm sorry to see DC go too. Particularly for their fans. They were not going to be invited to the premier division next season - so it was at least one more season in Division 1 without support. Eventually reality bites.

I'M not trying to sound all high and mighty now that our house is in order, but we had all these things thrown at us over the years and it's only fair that we can throw it back!Originally Posted by LFC in Exile
