Jesus Christ! Is there something in the water up there?I know the game gets called off if they win but I am telling you why they care-because of bad crowds at midweek games and not cork fatigue!Read The Stars post(no.16)

A certain Mr. Connor wants them to lose too, he told us tonight.

Congrats to Sligo on your recent form. But wishing cork defeat in europe is out of line..... We really need to raise our league coefficient any way we can..... A rising tide floats all boats.........Good Luck Cork....

No it's not. Cork wanted European football, now they have it, they should have to suffer the consequences of fixture congestion. We're on great form at the moment, we don't want/need a break. We've already had two games postponed this season, we don't need another crappy mid-week game as a result of Cork City just getting past the first round of the CL.

Does Sligo not have ambition for European Football..... You should because you are knocking at the door with your current form and work rate... When you get to Europe, would you like improved odds of an extended run?..... If so, then you need the teams that are currently playing iun Eurpope to increase our coefficient every year (EL has only 0.833 this year and we need at least 1.833) Cork is an important part of that. If you don't care about seeing your club in Eurpoe, then your sentiment above makes sense (but your perspective is all screwed up).... Unless i'm mistaken your crowds have been decent this year................. but if a single Saturday purse is that important to you.... Have at it.......

At the moment, we're focussing on the league, and in the league, a game against Cork on Saturday is what would suit us. European football can be a focus in the future.

This week is vital to our co-efficient. If all 3 clubs get through then who knows who'll be able to reap the benefits is years to come. Who would have thought Drogheda would be where they are but I wonder were they were wishing for big gates against Bohs, Shels a few years back too

Yeah, best of luck to Cork to-night. I want us to play on Saturday, but I would rather see Cork get through to the next stage. It's a long season yet, we are only half way through it. Plenty of time to put pressure on the leaders. Remember, if we play on Saturday that will be 3 games in a week. O'Hara was streachered off last night, so we dont know how serious his injury is. It was a really strong challange. It looked like it was his knee.
CHF would be proud of Brays long ball tactics. Once we settled down in the second half and started playing on the ground, we were super.
Bray got a good goal, but we should be 5 up at that stage.
I have scattered my dreams underneath your feet, tread carefully, cos it's my dreams you walk on.

Sligo are in red hot form at the moment. It's probably a bit too much for them to push onto 4th and into Setanta and European places but they are probably the favourites outside Derry to take the cup. It's nice to see the possibility for promoted sides to be an immediate success when they take the step up.

well in fairness it Sean Connor he got rid of some of the players that would have been starting last year as he knew the step up in class the Premeir would be.2 new full backs,2 new starting midfielders and 2 new strikers.
all of whom have experience of playing at a good level in England.
