    Best Limerick football memory?

I know people here are of varying ages, but I wonder what peoples favourite Limerick football memories of all time are?

Mine are many and varied, but I guess travelling to Dalymount for the cup final in 1982 on the team bus is my top one...the then club secretary (John O'Dwyer RIP) was a neighbour and he used to take me to games with him. I also met the Spurs team that had won the cup in 82 (Hoddle, Perryman, Hughton, Mark Falco, and others) in the Shannon Shamrock after the game in Thomond Park.Great thrill for a 14 year old kid I can tell ya....

Being in the Brandywell the night of the League Cup final was very special also, as was the previous league cup win in 93 against Pats.

Billy Hamiltons era was pretty good too, with some super football played by the likes of Ray O'Halloran, Marcus Tuite, Johnny Mullane, Declan Hyde, Hamilton himself and others.

The first away match against kildare last season was good, 3-0 up before half time, singing 'jingle bells' in the middle of may cause we'd run out of song to sing! we had 30/40 there that day

Obviously the league cup final against derry (home, and even more so away)

The day we dew with kildare to reach the play-offs, we go 1 up and they score straight from the kick off, fantasic!

In fairness we've had some good days this year already drogs home/away shams x2. hardly best memories ever but good all the same
