I have never set foot in Terryland for a GUFC game - though I played there in plenty GDL cup finals. The eL holds no interest for me. There is no emotional attachment to GUFC. People vote with their feet and the counter attractions are cinema/pub/GAA etc - the other factor is success. Get into the Premier and have a run at the title and you'll have 2000 per game. Who's gonna go watch Monaghan (all respect to that club) - the Galway people would come out to see Shels, Cork, Drogheda.
Unfortunately nothing suceeds like success and you need some to attract back the crowds!
