Just thought I'd throw this one out to you all...but I'm not sure when I saw such a poor player sporting the famous no. 10 jersey on a winning world cup team. Am I right in thinking that Guivarch didn't wear it in France '98, if he did then we probably have a worse player there...

Why start a new thread? There is already a Totti bashing episode.
The above is all opinion and based on personal experience. Unless stated otherwise it is not a dig at anybody, well probably none of you lot.

Yeah that thread was closed for some reason. The reason for the bashing of Tottis that he has the talent but does not put in the effort or desire when playing for Italy. A disgrace to the shirt and as Giles said he should be forced to give his medal to Cannavarro. Injury is a decent excuse but what are the excuses for the other major tournaments.

    I closed it.

He's better than Rai for certain. No need for a poll.

Sorry, was two seprate points there. Stoopid lack of punctuation

    1) IMO Totti was more influential than Rai
    2) There's not going to be a poll. Most people here don't know enough about World Cups pre maradona to make a choice and its already been debated to death

Well there's almost no film footage of the 1930 World Cup left, so it's really hard to judge Carlos Cea of Uruguay
