Jeez Louise if Cork City cannot sell tickets to a very big game... the League is banjaxed... this season has attendance wise been a disaster!
On official website.
Few interesting points.
Namely, George O'Callaghan has not been transfer-listed.
Damien Richardson is 'very content' with the players he has.
+
Champions League tickets not selling well.

It was never going to sell out before hand to be fair .... the first round Euro games for the last few years haven't been great attendances to be honest. Its normally only untill the next round it gets good.Originally Posted by CollegeTillIDie
Also, generally most of the tickets are bought on the day, only some of the high interest games sell out before hand, i.e. last game of the season last year.
If it doesn't do well then it'll definitely have been effected by the strife that is going on at the moment.
The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.
Bigger crowd than I expected because we usually only get 3000-3500 for 1st qualifying round. I think probably 4500-5000 there last night which is better than an other eL club will get in Europe this season.
I heard that there was about 1,000 tickets left unsold for the game.
What's the capacity at the moment, without the Shed?

Pete - noone would argue that that will be the best crowd, but thats not the point. Its that the leagues biggest club, crowd wise, is City and 5000 people is nothing to get excited about. Thats not a dig at city, more reflecting what others are saying about collapses in attendances in the league.Originally Posted by pete
