    League Cup!

Will the ties be played on a home & away basis,or just a one-off?If so,are they played at a neutral venue,or on one of the participating clubs ground?

The final is also a one-off and a draw made for home advantage.

Don't forget the winners also qualify for the Setanta Cup. Linfield and Glentoran in Limerick anyone?

Actually, the winners of the League Cup playoff with the winners of the First Division to get the Setanta place this season. Theoretically you could reach the final, lose it, play the winners again in the playoff and get a Setanta place or you could end up playing yourselves if you win them both.

So winning the first division is not academic after all. If if we weren't invited to teh premier we would still benefit from winning the division.

Never thought of it like that. It makes sense now, they put out a reward for winning the division if the club potentially doesn't get promoted.

It has been confirmed today that the match against Derry City will take place on Tuesday, August 8th. I presume k.o. will be 7.45pm.
If you don't like John 3:7...
    There's always Limerick 37!
