FAI Draw on www.ldmc.ie
hi Hoops
Thanks
We will have the history up shortly but it is all about time and at the moment I am concentrating on maintaining the fixtures and tables.
I did try to have a proposal passed at the last AGM that we would have a facilitator for each division who would be responsible for maintainining data for each of the divisions, this would have split the work load and we could place player stats on the system but there are also issues with some people not wanting yellow and red cards included in the player stats??? but we should be able to run with full stats soon as they are being collected but not displayed.

Hi LDL are looking for facilitators for the website anyone up for a challenge should mail info@ldmc.ie for details

Oldkeeper,
Has there ever been any thought given to introducing another cup competition for the lower league clubs?
Divisions 3A, 3B, 4A and 4B have only 8 teams in each. This means each team plays only 14 league games. Every other division has 10-12 teams in it, along with 4-5 cup competitions.
If you lose the first round of the league cup then you have played only 15 games in the whole season.
Teams don't get the buzz of playing a team from a higher division in the cup. A cup competition between those four divisions would be great.
Great idea will get club to sent in letter,
but was wondering why have 8 teams in 3a, 3b, 4a & 4b. why not scrap 4b and put them into the other leagues so all leagues have 10 to 12 teams. it will make for a better season for lads to look forward to playing at least 18 games up to 22 or more rather than just 14 games.
i know this can't be done now but why not next year, the lads in the lower divisions are as passionate about football as the higher divisions, and just want to play more games through the year.
what you think Old Keeper?
I agree that every player in the league is as passionate about playing as any other when
on the field. problems arise when clubs say they will enter teams but they never materialise. next year we could change the structures and have teams in higher numbers , but again this requires support from the clubs not just the teams. get mailing again with suggestions
Hi
While I have the greatest respect for all clubs and know that most of your clubs follow proceedures to the letter. I would point out a few proceedures that need to be followed by ALL clubs.
I have had a number of people pointing out that their clubs have been asked to write letters expressing dissatisfaction with the current LDL committee and asking for an EGM. Any club or indivdual can express dissatisfaction with the commitee or its decisions however in the case of a club, the club must first hold a meeting and discuss the matter, min's should record the attendees, the discussion and any decisions reached (such as writing to the committee). In an ideal world the club should write to the LDL and ask for clarification on any issues it is not satisfied with. If after this they are still dissatisfied, they may request the matter to be taken further. It is a good Idea to have all the facts before making a decision.
There is a worry from some of the people speaking to me that their clubs are being used and letters are being written without the clubs permission. This practice is not good for the league and smacks of the good old days of closed doors and a couple of people using some of the clubs to drive their own agendas
IF ANY person or club would like information on ANY matter all they need to do is contact the committee. I think there has been sufficient change over the last year or two to ensure that the open door policy is maintained

Quick Question Old Keeper,
last sunday my team Holycross B played Parkville, now its down as we are the away team but ended up as the fixture got played at Holycross... we weren't notified of any changes in fixture. was that cause Parkville don't have a pitch so all their home games are away or last sunday was a home game for us.????
just asking as we paid the ref but if we were the away team then Parkville should have paid shouldn't they??![]()
Thanks Old Keeper for clearing that up, heading your way soon, got Cup game against ST PATRICK'S. should be good game![]()
Old Keeper,
I am sad to hear that the knives are out for the committee. However I was wondering how long it would take.
From what I hear this agenda is being pushed by some of the older members of LDMC. Clubs have been asked to support a vote of no confidence by a certain member of council and they are scared of saying no in case they get "screwed" if they succeed.
The old brigade do not like the way the new kids on the block are letting the air into the room and the information out.
It should be kept hush in their world, thus increasing their grip on power.
I don't expect you to answer this but I hope anyone like myself who is glad to see a change in LDMC will put pressure on their clubs to keep this committee in place or we'll set Limerick soccer back years
Barryk...to be honest I cant see much changing. Every club has the opportunity to make changes at the AGM but rarely it happens and then afterwards you hear people complaining again. It would help if more clubs actually attended the AGM too.
As members of the LDMC will tell you, the LDMC are put in place by the clubs to run the league for the clubs. Its the clubs league and if the clubs want something changed then that is their right.
18 times, and that's a fact.
"Due to a shortage of referees there are some games fixed without referees appointed these games may go ahead if these games are on clubs will be notified and clubs should listen to Limerick 95FM on Saturday morning for updates" from LDMC website
Why is there all of a sudden a shortage of referees? the same number of games this sunday as any other. are the referees on strike?
They might have other things to do, like players somtimes do, dont no why you think theres a strike, if there was, wouldnt they all be off?????
no ones doing 2 games - most sundays they all do 2? just wondering why
