There's a lot worse in there. Id have him there before Totti, Figo, and Henry anyway.
Can't believe Ribery isn't there
Goalkeepers: Gianluigi Buffon (Italy), Jens Lehmann (Germany), Ricardo (Portugal)
Defenders: Roberto Ayala (Argentina), John Terry (England), Lilian Thuram (France), Philipp Lahm (Germany), Fabio Cannavaro (Italy), Gianluca Zambrotta (Italy), Ricardo Carvalho (Portugal)
Midfielders: Ze Roberto (Brazil), Patrick Vieira (France), Zinedine Zidane (France), Michael Ballack (Germany), Andrea Pirlo (Italy), Gennaro Gattuso (Italy), Luis Figo (Portugal), Maniche (Portugal)
Strikers: Hernan Crespo (Argentina), Thierry Henry (France), Miroslav Klose (Germany), Francesco Totti (Italy), Luca Toni (Italy)
Not a fcuking hope he should be near that squad after the way he played

There not defenders....... it's a squad, not just the best players. Ronaldo (Port) should also be in there IMO
I know...the point i was making was that he wasnt the only undeserving person in the squad.Originally Posted by BrayUnknowns

Ah right ! IMO Totti and Figo were quite good tournements but Henery was once again well below what he produces for Arsenal. Stephen Appaih also had a very good few games.....
Torres should be there ahead of Henry and Totti in my view. Ronaldo should be there ahead of Figo. There should be a few Argentinian midfielders also. Rodriquez and Mascherano (spelling)

None of those 3 should be there.Originally Posted by NeilMcD

So what he was a constant threat in every game he played in and scored the goals too.

think Podolski should be in there ahead of Totti anyway.
At least we can agree that the choice is cack.
City definetly have the best bands playing at half-time.

G.O'Mahoney Trapattoni'll sort ém out!!
I think Ballack shouldnt be there either. He hasnt done much except shoot from all angles and curse to himself after missing. For such a highly touted player, I thought he was really disappointing.
Also, I think it is a bit strange to release the squad before the final has been played. If Inzaghi for example scored a hattrick in a 3-2 win, surely he would be deserving of a place in the squad.
23 players.............
3 from South America..........(and I have my doubts about Crespo)
20 from Europe............(I have my doubts about quite a few)
Apart from being ineffective, the main reason he should not be in the squad is that he blatantly cheated by going down after a tackle holding his face when there was no contact anywhere near his face. For the same reason Henry should be excluded, he did it twice.Originally Posted by osarusan
Also, it is unbelievable that William Gallas and Willy Sangol are not included, both of them, but certainly either one of them has been far better than John Terry whose inclusion is a joke and whose FIFA man of the match award in the Ecuador game was laughable.
Even more baffling is Michael Ballack's inclusion if the list of 10 nominees for the Golden Ball (Player of the Tournament Award). IMO the most effective midfield payer by far has been Gennaro Gattuso who is not even included in the 10 and he has been my player of the tournament. As he is not even nominated, I hope Cannavaro or Buffon win it, both of whom have been excellent.
Honest! I am not a secret Tim nor a closet Sham - I really am a Seagull.
Terrible WC for strikers. Toni, Totti and Henry don't deserve to be there but when you think of the competition then maybe they do.
At least they got Ronaldinho's exclusion right!
