    Paul Finucane leaves Limerick FC

I dont post ofton fellas but had to today:

Just heard from a very reliable source..(fact !!) that Paul has left the club. Not by his own choice I hasten to add

This has nothiong to do with Football either

He has quit LOI due to the treatment he received at the hands of the people in control of Limerick FC

This man has been an star for us forever, He could have left with some of our less loyal players..Will I name dem ? ... a few years back, but no, Limerick is and will always be his club. How does the Club reward this loyalty: Not answering his phone calls, Ignoring him from Team selection even though he IS fully fit. Yet we labour with less capable defenders on the pitch.

And now he hs gone. Thanks Paul for all your loyalty if only Our Club would show the same towards you

That terrible news . He should be partnering Paddy at the back IMO.
We need players to strengthen the team not get rid of GREAT ones.

    This is really bad news
NOC Do You know how good he is?

    Lads,

Lets not get distracted today of all days for chrissake. Nobody knows if this is the case or not. Nobody really knows what went on - all we are hearing is one side. Last I heard he was doing exams and when finished he would be available. Now, maybe something has happened meantime - I don't know but I hope we are not back to selective leaks and rumours from inside the squad. The game tonight is too important for distractions.

By the way, for the record I also would have a fit Paul Finucane partnering Paddy.

Like Brucie I don't often post but I've been holding my fire on this since the season began.

I appreciate that today isn't the day for it so I'll keep it short.

To say that his treatment was shocking is an understatement. A class footballer and a sound man. I hope the full truth comes out in good time. But as you say its another days work.

So whats the story with this anyway lads? I never bought the 'lack of fitness/finishing exams' excuses from the start, I thought stripping Finny of the captaincy spoke volumes about where his season was heading, but it would be good to hear what's actually gone on here before I launch into a tirade, so I'll leave it for the time being
