Take away Rodriguez's goal, and that game, while certainly skilful, wasn't all that exciting. France Brazil left it far behind in my view.

We're going to have to agree to differ here! It seems people here are saying that France-Brazil was skilful, but it certainly wasn't exciting either.

The French victory was more than deserved! As far as I am concerned the Brasilian squad did not deserve any better than "just" the 1/4 final. Rarely or never, should I say, have they shown their real potential. Im just laughing about all the journalists predicting that the title would go to Brasil before the WC started. There is just to much hype around that squad. Some of these guys just seem to forget where they come from.
Just hope they will start a big clean up operation once they are back in Brasil.

It was not only journalists that predicted it, it was the betting shops fans and most football experts.

I was captivated by France vs Brazil. I thought it was what the World Cup was all about & it brought back all the magic of my childhood World Cups. Mind, I was on cloud 9 after the earlier result so I was easy to please

Sure Neil, but as you surely know Brasil is a bit like a "commercial brand".
It always sounds good to predict Brasil as a (potential) winner.
But unfortunately brands often just bare their name but not much quality

I tell you why its a good idea as they have won it the most so you cant go far wrong with them. BUt in Europe I suppose Itally or Germany were the obvious ones to go for.
