Any Euro 2004 or WC06 veterans know what that song the Portuguese sing all the time is? I think it'd be a good one to nick & put our own words to.

I could try to hum it online but can't imagine it'd work!

    Song

Was just watching Escape to Victory today on the box. Great moment at the end before Stallone saves the penalty kick...the crowd sing le marseillaise, reminded me of the night in Paris, great craic bouncing up and down chanting to the tune....why not do it again in Stuttgart? Easy tune to remember!

My biggest problem will be stopping myself from breaking into the Italian anthem straight afterwards.
We're not arrogant, we're just better.

i think due to the recent retirement from the international team of gary breen there can be only one song for stuttgart:

we all dream of a team.............

it meets all the criteria: it's not complicated, very catchy and good bloody fun!

Amarillo could be fantastic with a few changes to the words like the Kop have done with Fields of Anfield Rd! Anyone got the words to Amarillo and maybe we could come up with our own version

Sha la la lala lalala IRELAND
Sha la la lala lalala IRELAND
Sha la la lala lalala KEANO - SCORE A GOAL

When the day is dawningon a Texas Sunday morning
how I long to be there
with Marie who's waiting for me there
every lonely city where I hang my hat
ain't as half as pretty as where my baby's at

Is this the way to Amarillo
every night I've been hugging my pillow
dreaming dreams of Amarilloand sweet Marie who waits for me
show me the way to Amarillo
I've been weeping like a willow
    crying over Amarillo
and sweet Marie who waits for me

Sha la la lala lalala Sha la la lala lalala
Sha la la lala lalala and Marie who waits for me

    There's a church bell ringing
hear the song of joy that it's singing
for the sweet Mariaand the guy who's coming to see her
just beyong the highway, there's an open plain
and it keeps me going through the wind and rain

Is this the way to Amarillo
every night I've been hugging my pillow
dreaming dreams of Amarilloand sweet Marie who waits for me
show me the way to Amarillo
I've been weeping like a willow
    crying over Amarillo
and sweet Marie who waits for me

Sha la la lala lalala Sha la la lala lalala
Sha la la lala lalala and Marie who waits for me
