Any chance you could put up directions to Hogan Park, we're (Hoops SC)heading down for the League Game next friday & most of us havent been to a game there in quite some time.
Thanks.

If your going straight to the ground/arriving late etcOriginally Posted by DvB
At the first roundabout on nearing Limerick take the 2nd exit (dir cork/tipp/waterford etc) drive straight along that road for 5 miles approx. At the next roundabout (and only one) take the 2nd exit dir city. You will see the flood lights to your left. Drive tru the next novelty roundabout and up to "T" junction (2nd set of traffic lights) You are now witin walking distence of ground so Tesco is on your right try parking there on tesco side or rear of tesco but not anywhere near the front of the statoil/pub etc. At the "T" u can turn left and a first left again into a housing estate. Limited parking avialable there. Ask directions from anyone and walk less then 5 mins to ground.
If your planning on spending time in Limerick then at the first roundabout on approch to city go straight in and enjoy your day in the many bars and cafes in our fine city.
Ps can everyone note that the KO time for the league cup game on Tuesday is now 6 o'clock.

Should be a great crowd friday. Will there be segregation? How much is it in? Where's the nearest boozer etc?

I doubt there will be segregation but there will probably be a few extra stewards. Generally they're sound.Originally Posted by NY Hoop
It's €12 in. The nearest boozer is the Steering Wheel in the shopping centre across the way but best to avoid it IMO. The Spotted Dog is up the road across the entrance to the ground (ask anyone) and should be okay. There aren't really any other pubs around. You could get a taxi to the ground from the centre of town for about €6/7 if there is a few of you and that would be the best idea probably.
Its a while since Rovers were in Limerick - especially for a top of the table clash - so roll on Friday night. (although the small matter of a cup game tomorrow will be a nice appetiser).

Should be segregation really.Originally Posted by LFC in Exile

Rem that game well. Peter Eccles and an early second half goal from Stephan G. Nah no segregration but there shouldnt be need for any as the limerick fans are quite humourous, its upto the rovers fans to make a good impression. But do enjoy yourselves in the city first before ye come out to the ground.
Thanks for that, we're leaving Dublin at 1.30 so hope to be in Lmerick for 5.30 or so, planning on having a few beers in the city & then heading out to the ground, looking forward to it now!

Not sure you will have much time for a few beers if you are arriving at 5.30. Isnt the kickoff time changed to 6.00 so that it doesnt clash with the world cup game?Originally Posted by DvB
Sorry just realised that you were on about the league game.
Well, we'd rather you stayed out of the shed this time - well the centre of the shed behind the goals anyway. We have a few more fans than recent years who gather there. Still plenty of room if you need the shed down by the corner.Originally Posted by NY Hoop
