Maybe your fans should stop going to games, as a protest.
Oh wait, no one goes to your games anyway!
I see that they're looking for a boycott on the Waterford site BTID.net
What's haapening to this once proud club
I suppose things can't get much worse so desperate measures may be needed

One eejit is proposing a boycott. One. The rest of the thread is filled with people telling him to cop on. One person on a messageboard doesn't represent any significant proportion of our fanbase.Originally Posted by new blue
Waterford's attendances do not fluctuate as much in a crisis as some clubs. We may be down by up to 50% in some games, but I seem to remember certain clubs' attendances being hit much harder in bad times. We're averaging 800-1000 this season, which is very poor, but some of our home games have been against Dublin City, Bray and UCD. No offence intended to those clubs, but they don't draw out the "old romantics" in the way that derbies against Cork and Kilkenny do or - they'll love this - the old enemy Shamrock Rovers.
Most of our current problems emanate from budgetary constraints so most of us realise that a boycott would only exacerbate the situation. Even a change of manager may not be the solution. Hence, you will hear more "Farrelly Out"s than "Kerley Out"s in the RSC on Friday. Poor Gareth must be looking at us 11 points below Bohs and wondering how our man is getting such a soft time from the fans.
This talk of a boycott is pure and utter drivel its all from 1 or 2 teenagers suffering the side effects from a over indulgence of Lucozade or TK lemonade, the TRUE fans will stand by the club once again for sure and if it means it for me personally again i will leave my season ticket at home and pay again at the turnstiles.
Boycott my arse, bloody dopes !!!
Despite that reality, some people still believe they are a healthier presence in the league than us. As I have said before, a league in this country without Rovers involved, is a league without credibility.Originally Posted by bluemovie
Kerley might have got a soft time so far but I reckon that is changing. The majority of the fans over on btid want him out from the comments there. The results and performances have been shocking even with a very weak squad due to the low budget.I'd say both sets of fans could be calling for their managers heads Friday night.I'd say it'll be a small crowd there at the game especially with a clash with the World Cup quarter final on tv and the terrible results of both teams lately.
I hadn't planned on going to the game but after seeing you last weekend I think I'll join the boycott.
I'd go on Friday if I was you.Originally Posted by new blue

Waterford are such a joke at the moment, even their threads are boring!

I love the fact that Bohs' only away points this season were won in Dalymount Park!Originally Posted by BohsFans

All this talk of boycotts is bull, the only ones attending games at the moment are the real diehard supporters. They understand the situation we're in and the reasons for that.
The reason for frustration from the fans is to do with results but mostly to do with Kerleys formation and apparent unwillingness to let the team go out and try and at least draw let alone win a game!!
From the outset of the pre-season,most Blues fans knew we were going to struggle but none would of expected it to be this bad.
And now, of course, there's no incentive for them to improve their performances. In effect, the new format would allow teams like Waterford to jettison any remaining half-decent players and concentrate on doing up their ground or getting finances in order. This may well work out great for them but it won't be pretty for the rest of this season.Originally Posted by ConfusedBlue
But then the only reason they are in this position is because of better results in previous seasons helped by financial mismanagement ...

That looks like whats gonna happen anyway, apparently we're promised major changes over the next couple of weeks!!Originally Posted by Jerry The Saint
Where's your proof of financial mismanagement??
The club is debt free apart from GOB being owed money which I believe he wrote off a good portion of and settled for a nominal sum!Theres a whole lot of other clubs around the league who are in a far worse state or have been engaged in far more dodgy financial management dealings!!!!!!!!
It looks as if the notion of a boycott is having effect very few at last night's game by all accounts
It's not debt free. Your last accounts show a total of almost E400,000 owed to various sources - directors (E100,000), bank loans, Revenue, trade creditors and overdrafts.Originally Posted by ConfusedBlue
However, it must be acknowledged that it appears the reason why you're doig so badly this year is because there's a genuine attempt being made to get everything under control - the club made a profit in 2004. If only the league wer a level playing field when it came to spending money properly...
Yes but what year have you taken that last set of accounts from?I would bet they are at least 3-4years old.Since then most creditors, bar some directors,, have had their money paid.Originally Posted by pineapple stu

I sorry mypost but the league has little credability without rovers and less with them in.
I wish i did not know then what I dont know now
