From one extreme to the other there. Don't necessarily disagree, but at least he has to be respected as a rugby man, not just a whichever sport you want hack.

Bit harsh Macy, if Kelly had his way he'd be covering the el but he doesn't. HIs employers tell him to cover rugby and he knows there's sod all others jobs coveringt he el.

Still goes to most Pats games for the record. Don't read the indo so won't comment on him as a journalist

Wasn't even getting at the eL reporting side at all - but if the players/press corp know he'd rather be covering football, and that's the sport he know's best, probably makes the critical reports harder to take for them rather than if it would've been a former player/coach saying it.

Yeah but just because he has other interests doesn't make his opinion any less worthwhile. I know you're not saying his is, just make the point
