I don't know if any publicity down leeside but be surprised if it well know a game on at the cross on friday.

If the club would onlky put a sign up outside the cross with date & time of next match they'd at least let people travelling past the ground know.

    3k on friday?

3 k is ok I suppose but if the club are spending time and expense on floodlights and moving the game on friday surely a bit of publicity would not go amiss. if lennox is serious about about spreading the message of a national club for local people then a bit of organisation wouldn't go amiss.

the corwds that turned out for the under 21 games testifies as to what could be done with a bit of publicity

moreover if we are copeting for the hearts and minds of cork people then the club should get serious and get people interested in the games on friday otheriwse all theclub will have is a very expensive electricity bill

They mentioned Fridays match on Red FM this morning and at the end of some of their sports bulletins during the breakfast show they said "thats your sport on Red FM in association with the Evening Echo- sponsers of Cork City FC's new family enclosure.
Also theres some stuff about the match in tonights Echo.

IMO, its impossible to predict an attendance for Friday because our crowds have been so up and down and unpredictable for the last few years.

it's pretty simple really it all depends on how well the team does. we knowthey aren't going to win the league and probably will finish mid table or in the bottom half so it will be hard to see where extra people will come from

The move to Friday football should be a good one for the club, but publicity about matches would also help immensely. I hope there is a big crowd there for the club's sake.

Won't be able to make it meself as I work Saturday mornings bright and early in Dublin.
