Galway United - Connacht Champions 2008
Thats what I was expecting to see also, but now it seems like they cant be removed until the new stand is up! sounds daft to me as it would sound better to me if they were out of the way before construction, but Im not an expert in that field.
What are all the changes that keep putting back the starting date of construction? At this rate it will be 2017 and not 2007 before we see something rising from the dirt!!! I remember watching an interview on Setanta over the xmas period where Pat Dolan was talking to John Delaney. John stated that he was told the construction of the new stand in terryland would be completed by the end of the first quarter (end of March).
presume they dont wanna (or arent allowed) remove the floodlights in the middle until they get full planning permission
as it stands they have no planning permission for the stand so in a (very) worst case scenario they could have to re-erect them in the same place if the planning permission was not granted.
part of the planning permission is the removal of the lights as you need planning to remove things as well as for the installation of things!! (this is to stop the removal of buildings / structures willy nilly). therefore they cannot be legally removed until the planning is granted.
yes the middle ones are been removed but there are still games going on in terryland and the lights have to be working when the middle ones are removed they will be placed on the roof of both stands they will look the some as they are now only that the middle poles will sit on roof of stand therefore not blocking views will be done in stages as the frame of new stand is been constructed
happy days - cant wait till works are complete
