At the start of the season it was suggested that the UCD v Waterford United match would take place on Monday the 26th of June. Has there been any confirmation of this yet or could it be on the Tuesday or Wednesday instead? Trying to plan the post-break weekend and it'd shape up nicely with a trip to Bray on the Friday, Shels Intertoto game on Saturday and Belfield on Monday while also watching World Cup second round.
Incidentally, if it is on the Monday (our third Monday nighter in a row in Belfield), could somebody remind the FAI to send a referee this time.

It won't be on the Wednesday as we're away to Cork that Friday. Monday or Tuesday is most likely. Our midweek games were on Mondays last year so this one probably will be too.

We're not arrogant, we're just better.
Those would be 7:45 obviously.Originally Posted by Schumi

You can't spell failure without FAI
Ride Them Rock Solid.
So it'll probably be scheduled for 7:45 on the Monday and should start by 8:30 once the ref arrives. Get in early for this one to guarantee your place. There should be a massive crowd for it.![]()
Confirmed for the Monday.
I am pleased that all our supporters know it's on Monday cause Newstalk 106 seem to think all the Premier Division Midweek games are on Tuesday
Four are. Two aren't.
There's a rumour the Cup draw is on Monday too.
I've e-mailed the FAI to let them know there's a match on tonight so fingers crossed, they'll appoint a referee this time.
What's the capacity of Belfield? Is this game all-ticket or is there a chance I'll pick a ticket up on the gate if I arrive early? (We're not even sending a bus up)
The capacity of Belfield is whatver the FAI require for their makey-uppey league. I've seen it quoted as 10,000 in one of those random European Guide books, so I would take that figure as gospel.
You'll be required to take a ticket with a number on it at the turnstiles. We'll be calling the numbers in one by one as we find extra room for people. If you don't get in for kick-off, don't worry - we're a big club now and the chances are the game will be live on telly for no discernable reason.
Don't forget - it was the league's fault there was no ref appointed for the last game. Yes, it was the FAI's job, but it was the league's fault. The FAI wouldn't have screwed up something like that.
Are there going to be any Waterford fans travelling? Are Waterford even going to send a team?
Talking to the lads on Friday, there didn't seem to be enough interest for a bus. That would usually mean a couple of carloads might still travel, but not sure if they will on a Monday especially after Fiday's 'performance'. There are 15 to 20 Dublin-based fans, but not even sure if some of them will skip the delights of Switzerland v Ukraine. I'd say at a stretch, there'll be 20 of us. Sure we'll try to get a bit of banter going with ye anyway.
If it's on TV, would that be pay-per-view or will TG4 postpone Paisean Faisean to show it?
As for sending a team, I'm seriously considering bringing my boots.
If anyone wants to watch on pay-per-view, I'm sure that can be arranged. It'll be DIY delayed coverage though. I'll be sending you out a copy of the video.
